BOTH, Ryuk and Light turn around to look back at the computer. It took them by surprise to see it was a special broadcast, but they were all ears. The computer is in a blue screen with the letters, it then changes to a man in the news.
"We'd like to apologize for the interruption. As of no we're bringing you a live worldwide broadcast from Interpol's ICPO," the newsman says. Ryuk looks at the computer intensely and asks, "Hm? What's this?" Light says to no one, "Interpol?"
"We now take you live to the ICPO." The camera switches to a long black-haired male, who was wearing a suit. "I head up an International Police Task Force which includes all member nations. I am Lind L. Tailor, otherwise known as L," the man says.
"What? Who is this guy?" Light says out loud.
-RANDOM CUT-SCENE TO THE TASK FORCE-
The men are all staring at the screen. "So this is how it all begins," Soichiro says. "But, sir, I don't get it," Matsuda begins, "He's never actually shown his face before, right? Why would he choose to do it now?"
Soichiro turns to look at Matsuda, "It must mean L's serious about this." Matsuda lets a hum at this, he was not completely sure if this was the reason. "L, we've followed every single one of your orders. Now, it's time for you to prove what you said to the ICPO," Soichiro thought.
