Gavin
I grumbled to myself as I sat down on the stool in the pack kitchen. Costin and Matthew were right beside me.
"Let me guess, your mate left to go shopping to?"
I grumbled back knowing they could here me,
"Don't I know it."
Matthew chuckled. Costin frowned.
"Doesn't it seem like they are keeping a secret from us?"
"Yeah, it does actually."
I agreed with them. I growled, thinking about Crystal keeping something big from me.
"Well, I guess we have to find out then. Can any of you guys look into your mates minds to see?"
They both shook their heads.
"No, they have blocked us from seeing anything. All we can do is talk."
I sighed, and dropped my head on the table. My mother came in, then.
"Why don't you guys just ask them?"
Costin sighed and rolled his eyes.
"Let me guess, even you know."
She shook her head.
"Oh heavens no. I don't think they have told anyone."
I asked,
"What makes you say that?"
"Well can't you tell? Have you guys not noticed how overprotective they are of Crystal? And they are the only ones doing that to."
All three of us looked at each other.
"Mother, what do you mean?"
She groaned.
"Isn't it obvious? They are more protective than you! Crystal is pregnant!"

Crystal
"Ooooo look at that bag! I need that bag!"
Sam ran forward and grabbed a pretty bag. I shrugged.
"Its ok.."
Sam looked at me like I was crazy. Then her face turned worried.
"Crystal, are you ok? You look sad, and depressed."
I shrugged, again.
"I don't know. One second I was really excited and happy to go shopping but now, now I could care less."
Jade laughed.
"Your pregnant hormones don't like you."
I groaned.
"I know! I just want to go home and sleep to! And maybe get a bag of caramel covered popcorn."
"And so, the cravings begin."
Sam laughed as Jade practically narrated my pregnancy.
"Are you guys going to be laughing your whole lives? Why are you even happy? I hate life."
They started to laugh louder at my whining. A pack elder came over.
"Luna? Is everything alright?"
"No. I hate life!"
I slammed my head down in my hands and groaned. Jade threw her head back and laughed harder. Sam whispered to the elder,
"She's um, kinda well, pregnant."
The elder's face lit up.
"Oh that's so wonderful! Does the alpha know?"
She clapped her hands together, and I shook my head no.
"Oh dear. Well, you might want to tell him soon, so he can you know, prepare for your mood swings."
I groaned again. Jade wrapped an arm around my shoulder and rubbed my other one.
"It's alright. You only have to deal with mood swings for the next five months."
I busted out crying at that.
"But I don't want to deal with them for five more months!"
The elder sighed and said,
"Well, I'll be on my way. Have fun shopping girls! And luna, I hope you start to like the world soon!"
Sam and Jade waved good-bye to her. Sam wrapped her arm around my shoulder and said,
"Oh come on! We can bring you up, can't we?"
She looked over at Jade, who quickly nodded her head. I chuckled and wiped the tears away.
"I'm sorry, I don't know what happened!"
We all started laughing. But I still hate life.
*
"Ugh!"
I sat down on the couch and groaned. Gavin walked into the room.
"Whoa, what happened here?"
Sam replied happily,
"Oh nothing. She just hates life."
Gavin sat down next to me and pulled me into his chest.
"Why?"
Jade shrugged.
"Don't ask me. I'm not life."
"But you are alive though."
Sam danced away from Jade's flying hand snickering. Gavin leaned in and whispered,
"Crystal, is there anything you would like to tell me?"
Sam and Jade stiffened up. I turned my head up and looked up at him.
"Yep. I'm hungry."
Sam giggled while Jade rolled her eyes smiling. Gavin sighed.
"What do you want?"
"Caramel covered popcorn."
He raised his left eyebrow.
"Really?"
I smiled and pecked his lips.
"Yep!"
Jade bounced down next to me. She whispered in my ear so only I would hear,
"Mood swings!"
I glared at her, and resisted the urge to smack her.
