Crystal
It has been 2 months since Gavin was handed the alpha title. In a week, I will be 18. I had no clue that being Luna would be so tiring. I can tell that being alpha is taking a toll on Gavin as well. We hardly talk anymore. I decide to get up and leave our room. I need to speak to Gavin's mom. I walk down the hall till I reach her door. Before I have a chance to knock the door opens, and I'm face to face to face with Luna Lillian.
"Come on in Crystal! Whats going on? Is everything alright?"
I sigh and look down at my hands.
"I-I-I-I don't know if I can handle it."
"Handle what dear?"
"Being Luna."
She sighed.
"Have you and Gavin mated yet?"
I frowned. How will that help me?
"No, no we haven't. Why?"
"It's common with alphas that if they and their mate haven't mated by the time he receives the tittle, it can create uneeded stress that could've been avoided."
My eyes widened.
"R-r-really?"
She nodded sadly.
"I-I had no idea."
Her hand rubbed my upper arm comfortingly. I just sat staring at my hands numbly.
"Well, how is my son?"
I frowned.
"Shouldn't you know, being his mom and all? No offense."
"Oh none taken. So you don't know? You are his mate. You are closer to him than me."
I sighed. Closing my eyes, I focused into our mate bond. Feeling me, Gavin asked,
"Is everything alright?"
"Yeah, I guess. Where are you?"
"I'm looking over old pack records. You guess?"
"I'm with your mom,"
"What has she been telling you?"
"Well, she told me why things are more stressful for us then normal."
"Oh really? How come? I'm willing to do anything to make it easier."
"Um, well you see,"
"Talking to Gavin?"
I nodded mutely with my eyes closed still.
"Crystal."
"Um,, well, its because we haven't mated yet."
He was silent for a little bit.
"Do you want to mate?"
Taken back by us abrupt question, I answered with out thinking.
"Yes."
My eyes shot open as I realized what I had just said."What? What did he say?"
"I-I-its what I said."
"Well what did you say?"
I groaned and slammed my head down on the palms of my hands. I shook my head laughing at myself.
"Nothing. Its nothing." Lies.
"Crystal, are you sure?"
"Y-yes. I am sure."I could feel his smile through the bond.
