It all started at the age of 5. Kendall was sleep till he was woken by strange noises. He went to go trace it down. The noises grew louder and louder as he went downstairs. There, he saw his parents arguing about some thing that he didn't know about. "I AM SICK AND TIRED OF THIS SHIT!" Then Kendall saw his father slapped his mother. All Kendall could do was stare in a state of shock. His mother was on the ground hurt while his father was raging. As Kendall's father grew closer to his wife, she muttered, "Please don't do this Steve." Just as Steve lifted his hand up to smack her again, Kendall yelled out, "Mommy!" And ran towards her. The mother limped towards Kendall and hugged him. She felt relief that he was there. Steve took a breather as he saw his son. "Mary take him upstairs." Steve asked. Mary looked at him trying to find who this man is inside of her husband. "NOW MARY!!" Then she hurried upstairs with Kendall.
As she tucked Kendall into bed he said, "Mommy... Why did daddy hit you?". She couldn't respond. She was all choked up in tears. Finally she said, "You are too young to understand at this point and time, but I want you to know that everything will be all right." Tears were streaming down her face as she said that. As she was leaving Kendall's room she turned back and said, "I love you." And walked out.
