At the age of 10, Kendall finally understood what was going on between his parents. He had many questions about it. "Why was this happening?" "How did this all start?".... So many questions where swirling through his head, but stated unanswered.
One day, Kendall had some special news to tell his parents. He was so happy to find out that he got accepted into the middle school he wanted to go to. He has been dreaming about going to this school...Well the beginning of 5th grade. He rushed inside and his happiness dropped. He walked into his father beating his mother. The first thing Kendall actually did was help his mother by getting him off of her. "Get off of mom!" Kendall yelled and jumped on top of him. His father threw him off and looked at him. "WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE!" He started to laugh. "YOU HONESTLY THINK YOU CAN DO THAT TO ME?" He chuckled once more and slapped Kendall across the face. He looked him dead in the eyes. All Kendall could see was anger in his father's eyes. And all Steve can see is fear in Kendall's eyes. A few moments later Steve calmed down and said "I'm sorry Kendall..... I didn't mean to hit you." Steve tried to help his son, but Kendall didn't grab his hand. He got up by himself, grabbed his bag and left. Steve swirled around and saw Mary helplessly on the floor. Steve felt ashamed of what he did. He didn't understand why he can love someone so much, but hurt them so badly. This was a question that wouldn't go away.

RandomI'm trying to make this book based on Domestic violence. To let my readers know now, what ever I write never happened to me in real life. I may be young, but I still think Domestic violence needs to stop.
