Kendall was only 12 when this had hit him and hit him hard... his mother had died. She died from internal injuries and major injuries to her face, neck, legs, hands, arms, and feet. He wasn't even home to stop it brutal father from doing this to her. Kendall loved her dearly. The doctor asked Steve how it happen and he made up the whole story. It went from falling down stairs to crashing into things. It was just terrible of how good of a liar he was. Poor Kendall even watched her die, when he got the phone call he bolted out of school and tried to rush to the hospital where his mother was. She was in critical condition. All Kendall could do was cry and pray that he wouldn't loose her, she could barley talk. She wrote down what she wanted to tell her son but stopped and the heart monitor made that long beep sound. beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep It was all over. Kendall just broke down. He screamed for doctors and nurses to help his mother, but they couldn't help. She was far long gone. "I'm sorry boy... Your mother already went too far into the light." Kendall could barley walk right, he couldn't think right, he even couldn't talk right." He just went into full depression mode. His father, Steve on the other and he wasn't has depressed as Steve was. Steve just had mixed emotions about it. He was feeling sad, a little depressed, but somewhat relifed that his wife was dead. He really had no intentions to kill her. It just happend. But wasn't man enough to tell the true story about what really happened to his wife. No one knows other than him and his wife herself. And this is something he will take to his grave.... Or so he thinks he will....
***Shortly after Kendall's mother died he has questions... Never to be answered. Every night when he goes to sleep he thinks about how happy she was. Trying to figure out what went wrong, other than his dad hitting her. Kendall hasn't seen any signs of his mother regretting to stay or trying to leave his dad..... Then it hit him. His dad always doing things when he isn't around. Maybe his mom tried to leave when he was at school. The questions he had before now had a deeper meaning to them. That same night changed his mind forever.
The next morning he couldn't even focus in school. People who have lost somebody close to then would be depressed, but Kendall didn't just feel depressed. He was also furious, sad, and very curious. In class all he can do is write down the questions that were swarming in his head from last night. He was so distracted that the teacher sent him to the principal's office. As a cover up he brought out the big guns....which were his tears about his mom. Some stories were real and most were fake, but it worked to get him out. Instead he was sent to the psychologist office. Kendall was smart enough to not tell her the story, but little bits of it. Most students all ready know that teachers love to gossip so, this was a wise move. The only way he can find out what really happened to his mother is by doing it by himself.

RandomI'm trying to make this book based on Domestic violence. To let my readers know now, what ever I write never happened to me in real life. I may be young, but I still think Domestic violence needs to stop.
