Trajan sat on his bed, legs crossed and in his hands was a book. Scribbling on the paper, he wrote a draft of his day, ready to send it to his parents.

Dear Mother and Father,

Today has been a tremendous day, full of thrilling events. For a start, I have befriended some of my peers, and so has Dove. Most likely, you have been worrying about us, but I asure you, our short stay at Hogwarts will be pleasant, and maybe even enjoyable.

We may have had one bad encounter, but I'm sure we just over reacted. I'm positive we'll make it up with him. Also, there's this boy and he's rather peculiar, maybe you've heard of him and his family. Does the Riddle name ring any bells? I'm sure it will, as he's a pureblood, as are the rest of them. We seemed to have been taken under Tom's wing.  I'm sure you'll be happy to hear that.

Anyway, now I've spoken about us, it's time to speak about you. How's work going, Dad? Maybe you'll get that promotion soon. Wouldn't that be splendid! And Mom, how long is Aunt Teresa staying at ours? She better be gone before I arrive.

I really must be going, as I am being summoned by our headmaster. I will write to you soon.

Can't wait for you to write back.

Your beloved son, Trajan.

Trotting towards the headmaster's office, I avoided eye contact with anyone who dared to stare at me. Hastily, I knocked on his door. He opened it almost instantly.

"Ah, Trajan. Come on in." He greeted, his tone warm and welcoming. Holding the door open, I walked straight through and was hit with a scent of...cinnamon? It felt cozy, a bit like a second home. "Come, sit." He insisted. Sitting down on the leather chair across form the roaring fireplace, I crossed my legs and lay my hands in front of me. Bringing the small teacup to his face, he pursed his lips around the rim and sipped the tea inside. Putting it back down, he smiled, content. "So, Trajan." He started. "How would you like to join the quidditch team? It says here you were a chaser for your old school." I hesitated before saying anything. "I'll pa-"  "Of course, you don't have to agree, but we really could do with the help." He interrupted. "And there might be something in it for you." He hinted, winking. I had to admit, I was rather grossed out with his eye movements, but what harm could it do? I was fairly good back then, and it could always help with popularity. "You know what? I'll take up your offer." By hearing my words, his face lit up, smile practically beaming. "I knew I could count on you."

"Well, off you pop then!" He called out cheerily, opening the door. I was rather startled, but stood up nonetheless. "Oh uhm, well I'll get going then." Brushing myself off, I dived through the door. Almost hitting me, he slammed the door closed. It gave me the impression that he wanted to get rid of me. "Don't mind him. He's alway like that." A cold but soothing voice called out. I flinched ever so slightly before turning around. I was greeted by the figure of none other than Tom Riddle. "Oh, it's you." He frowned at my words. "You don't seem too happy to see me." He commented with a low chuckle. Tripping over my own words, I was stopped by a smiling Tom. "Shush." He said, wrapping an arm round my shoulders. Following him, Tom walked round the grounds of the castle, with no real destination in mind.

"Dove, have you wrote to Mom?" I questioned, walking around her dorm. "No, not yet." She huffed, picking at the skin on her fingers. "What do you want? You're not even allowed in here." I sighed. "Why not?" "Because. Have you ever heard of invasion of privacy?" She sassed, her expression grim. "Yes, I have." I informed her. "But, I am your brother." She looked at me, confused. "What? We used to share a room, I'm not sure why you're so vexed about it."

"I'm not vexed." She huffed, rolling her eyes. "Can you piss off now?" She huffed. "Why? Am I embarrassing you?" I teased. "Yes, in fact you are!" I chuckled, taking advantage of my sister. "Hey, you're Dove's friend right?" I said to the girl on the bed next to us. "I guess so, yeah." She shrugged, pushing her glasses further up her face. "You've got a brother, right?" She nodded. "Give him this." I held out a small piece of paper, waving it at her. Pushing her book to the side, she took the note out of my hand and went to read it. "Ah ah ah." I scolded, wagging my finger. "Keep your nose out your brother's business, yeah?" I chuckled, walking off.

Winking at Dove, I went to sit next to her. I was silent, trying to stifle my laughter. When I looked over at her, steam was practically bursting out of her ears. "I need to tell you something." I addressed, dead serious. "What?" Dove spat. Getting closer to her ear, I went to speak. ''Listen to this" I grinned as an enormous burp erupted from inside of me, travelling directly into her ear. "Oh. My. GOD." She squealed, diving away from me. "Out. Get out!" She shrieked, whacking me. I aimed to throw a lonesome pen at her, but failed miserably. Diving out of the way, Dove mercilessly began to throw pillows at me. "Alright, I'm leaving. I'm leaving!" I wheezed, running out of her dorm. Leaning against the door, I clutched my stomach, still breathless. "Ah. fucking hell." I held my head in my hands, a large headache beginning to form. "Shit." I breathed out, standing up. Walking off, I held my hip in my hand with a slight limp affecting my stance.

Reaching the library, I swung the doors open. Grabbing a seat, I sat down, worn out. I reached for my bag and pulled out a sizeable book and placed it on the table. I grabbed a quill from my bag and dipped it in the ink supplied on the desk. I opened the book and began to jot down lonesome words.

Day One,

First day documenting in this journal.

I will and I mean I will find a way out of this hell hole. I'm planning on moving back to Beaubaxtons but anywhere will be better than here.

The thought of running away entered my mind, but escaped soon later, as that's something I'd rather not do. The perfect option would be permanent exclusion. I'm sure it's not that difficult to be kicked out. Yeah, that's the plan! If this place is hell, then I'll play the part and become the devil.

I'll update on my situation frequently.
