who the fuck is this guy?!

The starting few paragraphs is from a Lightbulb angst fanfic thing I'm working on (most likely won't publish since I'm sorta self-consious of my writing)

Fan and Test Tube walked towards the portal, holding hands as they entered the glowing purple spiral that lead to the hotel.

Lightbulb struggled to force a smile as the watched her friends, the last of her teammates, leave her.

She wanted to cry, break down, beg them not to leave, but it was all too late.

The moment they vanished into the portal, her smile instantly dropped. Tears stung at her eyes as she stood there, feeling helpless and useless.

Her hand fell from her face and she took a step back, staring out into the empty room. (Room.)

Why? Why did the universe just throw all these people away like this? It wasn't fair! She couldn't lose any more friends! (Alright, now this does seem like a thing She'd think. In my mind at least.)

But she knew she would, sooner or later; after they left, nobody here was ever going to trust her again. Nobody could look past what happened, they wouldn't even think about her anymore... (....what happened?)

Her legs felt weak, her heart heavy. She didn't want to believe she'd lost everyone, but how else could you explain the events of the past two days? (Pretty sure that was less than two days, Lighty. You lost Fan and Test Tube in the span of a night and you were dead for a majority of it)

How could anyone forgive her for what happened?
Her friends were gone, and now the only one here who cared about her was herself. (Seriously, what happened?! Did Lightbulb murder her friends in the universe?)

"You okay?" The question snapped her out of her thoughts, as she turned to look behind her. The man standing in the doorway made her heart skip a beat. (Okay, wait. Whaaat)

He was so tall, so handsome...
His brown hair had been shaved on either side, his blue eyes were deep and mysterious...
He looked... familiar. Where had she seen him before? His voice was low and smooth, his accent was perfect... (So this is humanized? And who the fuck is this man?!)

She blinked a few times before she realized he was still waiting for an answer.
What was she supposed to say?
"I'm fine," she said finally, "just..." she trailed off, shaking her head slightly, hoping her words sounded convincing enough for him to buy it.

"Sorry," she apologized, giving up entirely. She didn't deserve his help anyway, especially since he was the reason she got thrown into an insane asylum. (W
What? Just what)

She shouldn't be anywhere near him.
"No need to apologize," he smiled kindly, stepping further into the room, closing the door behind him.

She frowned as she watched him, wishing desperately that he' s smile hadn't come with such promise, that his eyes weren't so filled with warmth and affection. (He's smile? He is smile.)

She felt so tired and defeated...
Was it because she wasn't alone? Had her other friends forgotten about her? Was the universe trying to tell her something? She needed some kind of hope, a sign, a glimpse of something to let her know that everything was going to be okay.

She didn't expect the stranger in front of her to hold her in his arms, nor the way he softly whispered "It's okay". (Is he a stranger or not?!)

"It's not, it never will be..." she mumbled quietly, hugging him tightly.
He held onto her until she felt calm, and then he pulled away.

She stared at him curiously, taking in the sight of him. He stood taller than her by several inches, and had dark red curly hair. A scar ran across his face, stretching from forehead to chin, almost covering his eye. (I thought he had brown hair and blue eyes?)

His shirt and jeans were simple, but stylish. The only thing that stuck out about him was the black belt tied around his waist.
Suddenly his appearance registered in her mind. This must be some sort of joke, right?

She could picture him sitting down at home, wearing his usual outfit while making a stupid prank. That explained why he seemed so familiar; everyone around here wore their everyday outfits. (Whaaat)

The realization shocked her, bringing her back to reality. She was in an insane asylum, trapped inside another dimension for no real reason, surrounded by people who might try to kill her if they caught her wandering around or escaping. (Okay, so is she in an insane asylum in another dimension?)

She quickly pushed the memories aside, reminding herself of her surroundings, what exactly she was dealing with here.

"You're not mad, are you? I mean, we kinda got into this without warning..." he paused briefly, looking apologetic, "I don't mean to invade your privacy."

"You weren't invading my privacy," she shook her head quickly, "you didn't know who I was... well, technically I didn't know who you were. But it doesn't matter. None of this matters. What matters is that we're trapped in here and I can't get us out."

He nodded slowly, as though he were thinking hard about something. Suddenly his eyes lit up, as though he'd finally figured something out.

"That reminds me," he grinned, reaching into his pocket and pulling out a set of keys. He walked over to the door, unlocking it.

"Wait-"
"This is the only way out," he assured her. When she hesitated, he continued

So from what I can understand Lightbulb is trapped in another dimension in an insane asylum with this man who is apparently the reason she's there?
