I used to hear a simple song, That was until you came along, Now in it's place is something new, I hear it when I look at you.
Sebastian's POV
"Wow, you are so strong!" Makenzie comments, griping my arm. "Thanks, I guess." I tell her sourly, scanning the place for my best friend. Makenzie places her head on my shoulder and snaps pictures of us, but don't pay attention to her. "Should I tag you?" She asks me, but I don't listen to what she asked me.
"Hey Seb!" Tania greets me. Finally a person I can have a decent conversation with. "Hey Tania. Have you seen Orion?" I ask them. "I'm good, thanks. How about you? Well I am glad." They say, replying to all the questions I should have asked them, but didn't. "You're right, I am sorry. But can you please tell me. He was here a few minutes ago and he said that he had something important to tell me. Then Makenzie dragged me away and now I can't find him." I say. "He is near the fountain. But be careful he looks mad." They tell me. "He should be mad. Mad at me! Because I ditched him to listen what Makenzie wanted to tell me. I didn't do it on purpose, but still." I say out loud. "Why are you treating me like your therapist? Go and tell all that to Orion." Tania tells me and I nod. "You are right. Again. Thanks Tania, bye!" I yell at them.
I see Orion sitting on the fountain, going through his phone. "Hey." I tell him, sitting down next to him. "Sorry for earlier. It was very rude of me to ditch you and hear Mackenzie's rumbling." I tell him. "That's okay." He tells me with a smile.
"So what did you want to tell me?" I ask him. "Oh, it doesn't matter. Don't worry about it." He tells me. "Orion, c'mon! Just tell me." I plead. "It's not that I don't want to tell you, it's that it doesn't matter." He tells me. "Why don't you let me judge that?" I ask him. He looks at me for a while. "Fine." He says.
"I wanted to-" he starts, but an annoying high-pitched voice is heard from behind us. "Sebbyyy!!!" Makenzie yells. "Just ignore her." I say to Orion. "No, it's fine. Don't ignore your girlfriend for me." He says and rolls his eyes. "Girlfriend? What are you talking about?" I ask him, but before he can answer, Mackenzie has come towards us.
"Sebby!!!!" she yells. "What do you want Mackenzie?" I ask her, clearly annoyed. "I just want to spend time with you." She says. "Look, I am not in the mood. I just want to talk with Orion. I think I made that pretty clear when I left." I tell her. "But I am so smoll and I will get lost alone! UwU!" She says. "Get a GPS." I tell her and turn my back to her. She leaves with a scoff.
"Pick me! Choose me! Love me!" I say to Orion and he laughs. "Finally, I made you laugh!" I say, happy. "Now explain, what do you mean, 'girlfriend'?" I ask him. "I saw Mackenzie's story." He tells me and I give him a confused look.
He shows me his photo. Mackenzie uploaded a photo of me and her and wrote 'with my babe 😍😍'.
"You really believed that?" I ask Orion and he just lifts his shoulders. "Hold on...don't tell me that you were jealous!" I tease him. "What? No!" He tells me, although I see a blush on his face. "You know that no one will replace my best friend in my heart." I say and he smiles. "Hmm. Best friend." He comments, but I don't know what he meant with that.
"So! What did you want to tell me?" I ask him. "I don't really want to tell you." He tells me. "Why? Don't you trust me?" I ask him. "It's you who won't trust me after this." He tells me. "Impossible. Our friendship will never be destroyed by anything." I say, hoping for him to say what I was scared of hearing all these years. He takes a big breath.
Orion's POV
How do I even start saying something like this? "As you know, Sebastian, I am bisexual." I start and he nods for me to continue. "And you are straight." I say and see a small frown on his face, that I decide to ignore. "I thought that I could have friends of the same sex who are straight and turns out I can! I can be friends with Alex, Harry, Esmeralda. With everyone but you." I say and look at him to observe his expression.
"Orion I-" he starts and I feel a knot in my stomach. Fuck, what did I do? "I used to hear a simple song, That was until you came along, Now in it's place is something new, I hear it when I look at you." He tells me.
"The fact that you study literature, doesn't mean that you can express yourself like that. I didn't understand anything from what you said." I tell him. He places his hand on my cheek and pulls me closer to him. Our lips touch for a brief second and dance together. He kisses me softly and I feel the world around me spinning. He tastes sweet and I want to stay in his arms forever.
"Do you understand what I want to say, now? He asks me. "You are not straight?" I ask him and he nods negatively. "I'm pansexual." He tells me. "And...you like me?" I ask just to be sure. "No, I kissed you just for fun." He jokes. "Of course I like you, you idiot." He says and moves closer to me again.
His hands gently pull my face towards his. He uses them to deepen the kiss, but he remains gentle. It's like kissing a sunrise. Simple and soft but creates many emotions. I place my one hand on his shoulder and the other on his waist and pull him towards him. He gasps in the kiss as I grip his waist tightly. I feel fluttering in my stomach.
It's not my first time kissing a boy, but it is definitely the first time I am feeling like this. Being in need for air, I back away and claim some oxygen.
"So you were jealous." Sebastian tells me. "Shut up!" I tell him and sit with my back against his chest. He wraps an arm around my waist and we stay like this for hours, listening to music.
