It was Yubin's birthday and Gahyeon wanted to surprise her
Yubin was wearing a blindfold and it was only around eight in the morning
"Unnie, you can slowly sit down now" The young fox-like girl whispers sweetly towards her girlfriend as the older nods and obeys the girl's order
"What is it now, anyway? I already told you no gifts"
"Just this one gift, please, I had a hard time with this one" Gahyeon bites her lip nervously as she gently picks up the box, the thing inside letting out a whimper
"What was that? Don't tell me it's-" Yubin cut herself off, not sure if it really was what she was thinking
Is she changing?... it's a little too early for that stuff though...

"Alright! You can open your eyes now" Gahyeon smiles proudly to herself, genuinely amazed at how she was able to handle the thing
"A box? What's in this?" Yubin asks with narrowed eyes, suspicious at her girlfriend's gift
"Just open it!" Gahyeon smiles widely, both extremely excited and nervous as Yubin sets her hand on the box
"If this is a prank, you ain't getting any kisses for an entire week" To this, Gahyeon pouts as Yubin finally opens it
"Arf arf!" The thing inside, which was actually a cute two month old puppy, barks out excitedly
Yubin's eyes widen with love at the precious thing
"How- aren't you scared of dogs? Why'd you adopt one?"
"I adopted him for you, unnie!" Gahyeon sits down beside the older, leaning her head on Yubin's shoulder
"I wanted you to at least have the baby you've dreamed of since you were a kid"
Yubin couldn't believe it. Her girlfriend, who had quite a fear of dogs, got a dog all on her own without any help
(A/N: Yes, Gahyeon got the puppy all by herself. With a little bit of struggle)
"I love you so much" Yubin voices out, making Gahyeon giggle at the older and replying with an 'i love you too' before suddenly zoning out
"Hyeonie?"
"What are you naming him?" Gahyeon asks with curious eyes
"Hmm..."
It was quiet for a bit, with the dear puppy just spinning around, chasing his tail
"Nyxx" Gahyeon suddenly blurts out
"Nyxx?"
"Nyx plus another 'x'. It means 'night' in Greek. And I may or may not have gotten him around eight in the evening last night" Yubin smiles softly at her girlfriend
"It's cute. I like it"
