ANGST

As a girl steps out of the car, people start crowding her and talk among themselves, curious about her arrival

"Did you hear? She's close friends with Miss Wong"

"Really? But who is she, exactly?"

"Jo Haseul! New CEO of Jo Imperial Hotels!"

"Why's she here, though? Isn't she rich rich? And what does Miss Wong have to do with anything?"

Haseul didn't care about them, not one bit. They were never the reason why she was at this 'shabby' art building in the first place

Walking through the hallways of the said building, she found the place quite decent

Yet she still didn't care. All she wanted was to see was the person running the place. Vivi Wong

AKA, her... well, let's just say... old friend

"Miss Jo, lovely to see you here" The secretary, Handong, sarcastically greets her smiling bitterly at the young CEO, glaring at her as well

Haseul just nods with the same bitter smile, a hateful gaze set on Handong

"Lovely to see you, too, Miss Han. Is Miss Wong, perhaps... present?" Handong's eye gives a slight twitch, annoyed at Haseul's presence

(A/N: More like 'existence'😒😗)

"Yes. I'll inform her of your... sudden arrival" To this, Haseul nods once more as Handong enters the office, her already annoyed smile dropping in the blink of an eye

"Kahei, Haseul's here" To this, Vivi stops painting, putting down her brush and stands up, making her way to the door

That is, before Handong stands in front of her, a stern look plastered on her face

"Wouldn't it be best if you two talked here?" The taller girl speaks lowly, taking hold of her friend's hand

"I'd rather talk to her somewhere secluded, Handong" The artist replies as she pushes her way to the door

Taking a deep breath before opening it to see a girl with short, blue hair standing with a monotonous look on her face

"Haseul" Vivi walks over to Haseul, teeth clenched

"Kahei" Vivi winces slightly at this "Never call me that, Miss Jo" Vivi says sternly, glaring at the younger girl to which the other just nods at

"My.. apologies, Miss Wong. Let's go?" Haseul holds out her hand yet Vivi just stares at it before finally answering

"Lets" She answers, passing by Haseul who just retracts her hand and follows, matching her pace

The walk that lasted for at least seven minutes, was quiet. No awkward tension, more like... dislike. That is, a word I could use to describe it

As they finally reach the rooftop, Haseul pulls out an oslo paper envelope- covered in beautifully painted hearts and stars -from her bag

Vivi freezes in her spot, staring at the envelope with wide eyes, tears wanting to escape and show themselves but she kept it in with difficulty as she lets out a shaky sigh

It was the envelope she had given the young CEO on Valentines Day, which was, unfortunately, the day they ended everything. No thanks to Haseul's selfishness, of course

"It took me long to read it due to my busy schedule but it was indeed an amazingly written poem, Miss Wong. Thank you" Haseul hands her the envelope, eyes blank

"So you still bothered to keep it?" Vivi asks in a tone, Haseul taking offense to her words per usual

"I'm not a heartless monster, Kahei" Haseul retaliates, setting the envelope on the empty table

"Oh really? After what you did? You still claim to even have a heart?" The older girl scowls at the other, her fingers curling into a fist

"I needed to do that, Kahei" Vivi takes in a sharp breath at this "I said to never call me that" Haseul just rolls her eyes and continues

"If I hadn't broken up with you, my father would've kicked me out!"

"But you could've lived with me! I wouldn't have minded it! At all!" The tears Vivi had held back were starting to well up in her eyes

"Oh really?! Because as to what I recall, you were already cheating on me with Handong!" Haseul yells out, anger extremely visible on her

"I wasn't cheating on you! Handong had to sleep over because there was a storm!"

"Oh save the lies, Kahei! You never cared about me!"

"As if?! I was the one who cared for you! I was the one who bandaged you up everytime you got injured! I was the one who took care of you when you were sick! And I was even the one who almost died trying to save you from that fucker that you call your brother! You are just an ungrateful piece of shit that I should've never even loved because you were the one who never cared!"

Haseul stays quiet, perfectly aware of all those things but being the stupid motherfucking narcissist that she is, she still saw herself as the victim, not bothering to let Vivi's words sink in

"Suit yourself, Wong" She speaks lowly, walking over to the door, opens it, walks inside and slams it close

Vivi falls to her knees as the tears finally start coming out properly

"I hate her...." She mumbles, practically inaudible "I hate you, Jo Haseul..."
