Chapter 6

KONOMI P.O.V.

"Ha!" I yelled as I aimed a kick at the red head's stomach.

Karma-kun stopped my leg with his hands before throwing me back.

Airborne because of the strength of his throw, I twisted my body before I back sprang away, getting a distance away from the male.

A small smirk appeared on both of our face as we looked at each other, going back to a fighting stance.

"Karma! Konomi! That's enough!"

My body relaxed slightly at my uncle's voice before I dusted myself off from all of the dirt that was on my gym clothes.

"That was fun~"

I turned my attention towards the boy who was my opponent with a smile, "Good job Karma-kun."

The boy sent me a mischievous smile and nodded while sticking his hand into his pants pocket.

It's been nearly a week since I joined 3-E, and you could say I was adjusting perfectly fine.

Class were rather enjoyable being taught by the alien like man who was my target. I fit in quite well compared to when I was in class A. I was friends with most of my classmates and I only had to embarrass Terasaka and his friends once before they acknowledged my presence.

"Okay you two, good job. You two seemed like you're rather confident with your skills," Tada-San spoke as his eyebrows furrowed. I've noticed that be usually does that when he was thinking deeply.

Karma-kun and I stood side by side as we carefully listened to what my uncle was going to say. Well at least I was. Karma-kun was staring at the rest of our classmates who were working on combat skills, his golden eyes looking bored.

"I want you two to start working as each other's partner when we train in skill," Tada-San stated as he looked at us with his arms crossed over his chest.

I raised an eyebrow at my uncle's statement, questioning why without words.

Tada-San sighed as he gave Karma-kun a light glare, "He usually ditches class saying there's no point because none of the children can be his opponent. He has more skills than the rest of them."

I looked at the boy who stood next to me. Karma-kun had a light smirk on his face as he eyed at Tada-San with amused eyes.

"If Konomi-chan's my opponent I don't mind coming to Physical Education. She's rather fun to fight," Karma-kun said in a slightly amused tone.

A small sigh escaped my lips before I nodded, "Well, even though he has few sneaky tricks up his sleeves, I do have to admit he's been the best opponent I've had since I've started training here," I admit smiling slightly, "It's good practice since not everyone you meet is going to fight fairly," I explain pushing some of my hair that stuck to my face with my finger. The red head wasn't exactly a pleasant boy who fought fairly, rather he had multiple tricks up his sleeve that often made me stumble.

Tada-San nodded, seeming to be slightly pleased, "Alright, you are working together from now on."

Karma-kun turned his golden eyes towards my direction as he smiled, "Yoroshiku-ne? Ko-no-mi-chan."

A small vein popped on my head as Karma-kun said my name in slightly mocking tone. Though I quickly calmed myself down as I reminded myself that this boy liked teasing people.

I nodded in acknowledgement before turning my attention towards where Nagisa-kun and Kaede-chan were fighting.

A light breeze blew, making my hair flow in the wind. I closed my eyes in relief as the cool breeze made my sweaty body slightly cooler.
