It was so awkward between Abe and I after Ma'am O left. I couldn't look at the guy and he couldn't look at me either. God, this is what I hate about teasing. It makes things soo awkward afterwards. Even the others began teasing us. Kent and Cherry(Memebers of Magmilan) for the most part.

"So it's Abe's birthday next week." Kent said as he put his arm around Abe. He was grinning in an evil kind of way. Gosh I hate his eyes. Like he's conniving something unpleasant whenever he looks at you.. or maybe that's just me. Kent and I had some time to ourselves last time and we ended up talking about zodiac signs. I was an aquarius and he was my mortal enemy.

PISCES.

I hate pisces. There's something about people with that sign that just don't sit right with me. Friendships are good, but a romantic connection? Nah. Nada. Never.

I would know. I've been living with a Pisces all my life. My mom. There's not a day of certain peace when my mom was around.

He said the same thing. His experience with aquarians wasn't that pleasant. He had an aquarian girlfriend back then but it went downhill. See? Told you. We have good chemistry as partners though. Pisces are known to be hard workers.

"I know and he's been working here for a year now and not once has he taken anyone to his house. Ever" Cherry pouted as she began holding Abe's arm. Cuddling him in a friendly kind of way.

I guess they are all close. They've been here for years now, or so I've heard. Cherry was with Magmilan for three years, Kent for two and Abe for about a year. The longest would be their team leader, Maj. with an astounding number of 6 years in the Magmilan corporation.

Impressive.

"Let's party at your house Abe? I'll pay for the drinks if you say yes?" Kent insisted. Abe just kept looking down. It's hard to see his expression behind the  face mask he's wearing. Come to think of it, I've never seen him with his mask off before. I've only seen his eyes. Kinda nice I guess.

His trademark laugh. Hmmm. My favorite. The more I hear it the more I think it sounds better than Rio. Stop reminding me of him.

Rio.

Rio.

This always happens. His name keep resounding in my head. How hard have I tried to erase his memories? It feels as if the harder I try,

the more dificult it gets.

Rio.

Rio.

and Haze..

"I can't talk right now Haze. Maybe later." I spoke on the phone. Haze was on the other line, asking me to go with him to the beach.

Did I mention our school was near the beach? We weren't allowed to swim of course. No one is. It was owned by the government and it was meant to be an attraction instead of an actual beach resort. They made this side road beside the sea shore and a huge metal fence so people wouldn't take a swim. It was more of a park than a beach. There were bicycle lanes and some benches. The ambiance is great. Especially at around 5 o'clock. Just when the sun is about to say goodbye. The sky gives you that purple-orange kind of look. It's so relaxing.

The truth is, I was already at the beach. I just didn't want to see Haze that time. Rio will be here soon.

"It's really going to be nice at the Beach Park (people call it Beach Park) Ice. I saw it on the weather channel and—"
