Mira Forrester ~ King's Landing ~ Margaery's chambers
Margaery's chambers are large, open, and very well decorated. The evening sun cast a warm blanket over the room, making it pleasant and enjoyable. Mira stands near the large balcony that offers a splendid view of King's Landing, and it's surrounding area. Her mind has no room for the enjoyment, as her worries prevent her from noticing much of it.
She is still unsure about asking Margaery for help, especially about the subpar performance with Cersei. As she lets out a sigh, the door opens. Mira turns to see who it is and sees Sera entering the room. "Mira. I was worried. How was it? Cersei has a way of looking as if you're nothing," Sera says.
Mira shakes her head. "I'm afraid it did not go so well," Mira says, looking rather worried. "I'm sorry. Cersei is known for being rather... difficult. But at least it is over now," Sera says. The air is rather gloomy and heavy. Sera looks around for a moment before she lightens up slightly.
She walks to the table in the middle of the room. "Lady Margaery has spent the entire day on seating arrangements for the wedding," Sera begins to say. Mira can appreciate the effort of trying to lift the gloomy and tense atmosphere. Both sit down at the table as Sera continues talking.
"Of course, you and I are seated way at the back. Here, with the fourth cousins and ninth-born sons. Ah, Ser Jaime. I wouldn't mind tarnishing that white cloak of his," Sera says playfully. Holding the tile of Ser Jaime in the air. "Sera!" Mira says with a chuckle. "What? It's true," she says with her own chuckle. Sera looks at the arrangements again and spots another interesting person.
"And Oberyn Martell... the Red Viper..." Sera says with a smile. Mira chuckles softly. "Is there someone called Edmund Blackwood?" Mira asks curiously. She wonders if he is here for the wedding. Perhaps they could talk again. He was kind and not too bad looking. And he may know more about how... father and Rodrik died, Mira thought to herself.
"Oh... have someone on your mind?" Sera asks with a smirk and glean in her eye. Sera sits more at attention and is definitely interested in Mira's answer. "I met him in the hallway when I was walking to Margaery's chambers. Apparently he knew my father and brother. I was curious..." Mira says rather defensively.
"Because... you're interested in him," Sera asks, trying to fish out a satisfying answer. "Sera! I only just met him. I was curious," Mira says. "Mhm... love at first sight..." Sera singsongs. "Sera!" Mira says embarrassed with red cheeks. "Whatever you say..." Sera says in a singing voice. Mira groans in embarrassment.
"To ease your longing heart..." Sera begins to say. "I do not like him!" Mira interjects. Sera ignores Mira and continues. "... he is close to our seats. You're in luck," Sera says with a smirk as she places the markers back to their original places.
"Oh, Mira... you just have-" Sera starts to say before the door opens. Both Mira and Sera are startled by the sudden sound. "What are you talking about?" Margaery asks. A soft smile on her face. "Nothing spec-" Mira starts to say before Sera cuts in. "Mira's possible husband!" Sera says with a playful smile and excitement. Margaery chuckles.
"Oh, and who might that be?" she asks. "I have no one that-" Mira tries to say before Sera 'helps' Mira again. "A certain Edmund Blackwood," Sera says with a smile as she playfully bumps into Mira's shoulder. In turn, Mira groans in embarrassment.
"Hmm, an interesting person you have your eye on, Mira," Margaery says with a smile. She walks to the balcony to look at King's Landing. A sigh leaves Margaery as she turns to Mira. "The Queen was rather disappointed with your display, Mira. I'm just glad it's over..." Margaery says as she walks to the edge of the balcony. Sera and Mira glance at each other as they follow Margaery.
