Mai could understand what the elf was saying. 'Slaves? Killing? Who would do such things?' But then Mai remembered, he was in another world. Something that still didn't feel real. 'Other worlds have different morals, different viewpoints...' he thought. And he thought right. He could clearly see the very obvious distrust in the eyes of the elf. This just didn't feel right. Even though that elf tried to kill them just a few moments ago, he couldn't help but to go outside of the barrier and towards her. Aura was surprised. She had seen Mai being all scared and defenceless the moment they were in another world but now? Now he was walking toward that dangerous elf. "M-Mai? Where are you going? Come back here! It's dangerous for someone who doesn't know much magic!" She said, clearly worried about him.
It was true, Mai didn't know much about magic. He read books about magic together with Aura but never really practiced it. He managed to make a flame as big as a candle flame once in a while, which, was amazing for someone who had almost no mana inside.
Mai came closer and closer to the Elf who was backing away slowly. Since she was sitting on the ground due to her legs veing weak, she didn't move far. "We truly don't want to hurt you, Miss" Mai said with his cute smile, kneeling down and tilting his head a little to the side. An action such as this would make Aura squeel inside when it was done to her but right now, she was jealous. Jealous that her precious little bean was showing her such a gesture. The elf couldn't help but blush a little bit, looking away. "Fine! I guess you can't judge a book by it's cover..." she said, looking at Aura and flinched. She just saw Auras jealous gaze thar had been directed towards her. "S-so. If you aren't here to kill us or enslave us, why are you here?"
"we were hoping to get some information. We have no idea where we are." Aura said in a cold tone, clearly still a bit angry at the elf for getting to see a sight that was usually reserved for her alone. The elf shudders and stood up "you are in our home, the elven forest, right next to the dwarven kingdom and those god forsaken human kingdoms." She said and mai shot up, sparkles in his eyes. "Dwarfes?! What other races are out there?" "Huh? Haven't you ever been educated about history?" The elf asked, clearly dumbfounded by his cluelessness. "He comes from a poor region, so he doesn't know a lot about history" Aura explained, which made Mai pout a little.
"Fine... ok, first of all, there are Elfes. We are the followers of the goddess of Nature and don't like anything that is bad. Like stealing, eating meat, chreating, killing and so on. Second, there are dwarves. They are the most advanced but secluded race. They don't like war but love to Blacksmith and create new stuff. Third, There are the dark elfes. Those are elfes once were elfes like us but became corrupted due to the humans influence. There are countless other races but they dont have kingdoms. The only ones who have kingdoms are elfes, dwarves, dark elfes and humans."
