oh no dave wakes up to a sad bambi

Dave slowly opened his eyes, then rubbing them, blinking a few times before becoming fully awake. After sitting up to stretch his arms out he looked over at Bambi who was on the other side of the bed. But..

Something was off

Bambi wasn't feeling too good at all, he was sniffing like he just got done crying, what could've happened to make, Bambi, of all people cry?  

Dave looked concerned and moved closer. "Hey-" No reply. "Good morning, Bambi. Are you okay?" Bambi looked over, sniffing and wiping his face. "I'm alright, you go and get ready for another rap battle with that blue haired kid or whatever." His voice was weak, he sounded like he was very close to a breakdown, only making Dave more concerned than ever. "It's okay Bambi, just tell me all about what's wrong." Dave brought Bambi closer to him and rubbed his shoulder.

 "I don't know what's wrong with me Dave, I don't have a fucking clue. I dont know how to feel right now."

Dave opened his arms for a hug, Bambi couldn't help but go right for it sobbing onto Dave's chest. "Don't you dare let a word of me crying out to the others, okay?" Bambi said through sniffling and tears Dave smiled and kissed his forehead. "Oh, oh Bambi.."

"I swear, it's only between you and me." Dave smiled, rubbing Bambi's back gently as he sobbed on him. "It's gonna be okay, just calm down for me." A few minutes later Bambi's cries went down to nothing but whimpers, Dave was almost shocked. He had never seen Bambi this sad, or even crying for this long.

Bambi raised up out of Dave's arms, feeling much better but he obviously wasn't gonna admit that, sitting away from Dave and after wiping tears from his eyes now with his hands in his lap, he looked down at his hands for a while before talking again. "I think I'm okay now- but, I just want to you to promise me one thing."

"Bambi this is not the time for a talk about a new pho-" Dave was cut off mid sentence only to his surprise that Bambi was not going to talk about a new phone.

"Just promise that you'll never leave me. I know I can be hard to tolerate, I guess."

After some silence, Dave placed his hand onto Bambi's head and pet him gently. "I'll be here for as long as I can, Bambi!" Bambi enjoyed the petting but moved Dave's hand away to be in denial. "Alright alright- This is too much.." Dave saw the light blush on his face, and chuckled at this.

"You're welcome, Bambi."
