How can you trust someone when all you have is evidence of why you shouldn't?

Me and Veronica had reached the winery as per toni's orders to find Mrs.Topaz.

"This is ridiculous,I can't."

I snorted

Veronica ignored my comment,I have been annoying her.

"Why does mistress cheryl have to run off."

It was a simple task and nothing like the one we shared earlier,but it was to be done.

She picked up her pace walking away from me,This women was unpredictable.

"I need to go home in a few hours"

I heard her mumble something

"Veronica." I called

I didn't get an answer

I held her shoulder"Veronica. "

"What!?"she asked,outraged

I erupted into laughter

"That's the fire of the lodge."

"Has anyone ever told you your annoying."

She stopped in her tracks facing me

"No they usually say am hot."

She chuckled

"How brave of your father to set an attack on the Topaz wedding."

She stopped and turned towards me,eyes as dark as the night.

"Miss Cooper I suggest you stop talking before this exceeds any further."

Her voice was commanding,but I could tell she meant no harm.

"What if I want it to go further."

"Betty.."

I cut her off

"Ahh,you now my name?,Now we're getting somewhere."

A small smirk grew across her face

"Miss Cooper i'm not sure what your implying."

I walked closer to her

"Miss lodge, I want you as much as you want me,So figure it out."

"Very well,Miss blossom will have to wait."

Being with a man known as the*Dark serpent*means living in fear,You never know who's coming for you,There's no idea of when your going to die.As a small girl i grew up with guns,money,Cold hearted parents that is willing to kill anyone who dears to disobey them without a second thought. That's what it means to be the child to Mafia parents.I never wanted to be apart of the mafia,I wanted a simple non-violent life.After Veronica and Betty brought me back inside an left I decided to leave to clear my head.

I glanced around,Hunter had a slight smirk on his face

"Pray tell,what is your business with me?"

I ignored him as he lazily came towards me

"You know,your quickly becoming more problem than your worth."

I scoffed,What does he know about my worth

"Why because I hate your's and your brother's pathetic attitude."

I inhaled deeply trying to calm myself down,this hunter was really getting to me and that stupid smile he has ugh.

"Enough of your nonsense,We lost millions of euro's in less than a day due to your foolish actions."

He was talking crazy

"How's that even possible?"

"You ran off from your husband who missed a very important meeting minutes ago and when we sent your whore of a guard to find you your no where to be found.I for one don't take it lightly when we lose money."

I opened my mouth to argue that none of this was my fault,but before I even had the chance,Hunter held my throat.He moved faster than my brain could process.Th next thing I knew,was his grip loosen resulting in me be thrown to the ground.I fought to regain control of my breathing,tears blinded my vision.

I breathed in sharply,regaining my sight I glanced up to see toni who helped me up.

He picked me up bridal style,anchoring me to his arms,He didn't otter a word to acknowledge me.I glanced back to see Swayer picking hunter off the ground helping him inside.

* What would my father do now? *

"The man who had almost killed me earlier approaches me and I flinch as he shot me his deadly gaze.lowering my head I held my breath waiting for someone to say something

Toni extended his arm resting it on my thigh

My breath got caught in my throat

"Hunter."

He said.His gaze traveling to his brother then back to me. "You should go
home."

"What did you say to me?"Hunters eyes glazed over in anger

"Leave."

Toni demanded.Hunter scoffed taking his coat leaving the office.

Toni stood up pulling me along with him
