Calvin went upstairs to comfort my sisters I followed. I turned and walked towards Miko's bedroom and before I knocked I thought of a way to play this. "Joking older brother time." I then opened his door. "Miko you better not be masturbating again." He was laying in his bed crying. I may not be the biggest fan of Miko but my heart cracked, even more, when I saw him crying. "Fuck off Mike!" "Hey hey hey buddy there's no need for all the hostility." He ignored my joking tone.
"Dammit." I sighed. "Miko I love you and I didn't come in here to sugarcoat things. These things happen all the time and..." I felt tears build up but I kept going. "And we can't always do anything to stop it. It sucks. One of mom or dad may be leaving but you need to know Meek I'm not leaving ever." He paused then said to me in a cold voice, "Michael you don't know that." I sighed it was true anything could happen to me or anyone any day. I began to cry to him "Miko I know I'm not the best brother to you I don't show you love or attention I'm selfish and I'm sorry."
Miko hopped out of bed. "Mike don't cry I'm sorry, I'm a brat and I help make your life a living hell. For God's sake, I'm the reason you only have one eye! And I still kept being a dick to you. I'm terrible." He started to ball even more and I hugged him tighter, "Look Miko all that matters is you think you're pretty great. And I think you're perfect slightly annoying but perfect. Your the best brother I could've asked for." He dried his tears, "Brothers stick together even when they're far apart. And Mike you fit that part well."
I was shocked he said something so wise I nodded then said "Woah Miko that was really wise and mature." "Thanks, I think I'm gonna be a poet when I'm older." "Woah little Mikos gonna be a poet."Well yeah, it's my passion." "Michael, what do you wanna be when you wanna go to college for?" "Maybe a director or a lawyer." "Good choices." "Ok, Miko I'm gonna check one of our parents ok. Not sure which yet." "Yeah sure." Before I left I yelled to Miko and hit my chest with my left fist, "Hey don't forget brothers forever." "Brothers forever." I left his room waving to him.
