It's Not Your Problem

We wandered to the food court and sat down. I began looking at the different places to order from. "Mike I heard your parents when we were at the door. Is everything ok are you ok?" I froze then looked down, "I never have heard my parents argue before." "I have, it's not fun to listen to." "I just hope by the time I'm back there done." "So Mike my parents are very holy and protective. And I was on the phone with them while you were getting your sick tattoo they know about our little hockey adventure. And there very mad so there coming back and will be here tomorrow. And wanna have dinner and speak with your parents on Monday."

 I took a minute to process all of the information then said "Aww shit Cal I'll have to let them know. This oughta be fun." "Anyways Mike can I get a happy meal please?" Cal made the puppy dog eyes "please?" He asked again in a more seductive tone and rubbed my leg. "Dammit Cal please don't get me in the mood in the store. Dammit yes but aren't you 16 why do want a happy meal?" "Because I wanna toy. And ill give you something else in return." "All this work for a happy meal?" "Yeah, and if you do get it you won't have to be the one working at all." He rubbed my leg again under the table. My pants started to seemingly enjoy the teasing. I grabbed him and we began kissing. Then making out with our tongues interlocking.

 He pulled away and said,  "Michael I didn't know you were that big of a freak." "Well, I do have the most kissable sexiest guy in the mall right in front of me I just couldn't resist. And yes you can get it. Maybe something else later. "Ooo Michael you dog." I wasn't lying Calvin was the sexiest guy I could ever be with I guess I am in love. But to be honest I really wanna kiss him and not stop then maybe go on. Nope too early get those thoughts out of... his cute head and bu... Oh my god, Michael stop being sexual but he's soo hot. I wanna know him a bit more before we take that step I wanna know him more even though it feels like we have known each other forever even though we have known each other for like two days.

We got up and waited in line for Mcdonalds Calvin looked like he was plotting something. He leaped at me and tried to tickle me. "Mike? Why aren't you laughing?" I chuckled, "Oh you fool, Cal I'm not ticklish." "Oh." Calvin looked down in disappointment. "And I presume you are." "Wait what?!" I began tickling him and he started to laugh aloud. "Mike stop I'm gonna like piss myself." "Ok Cal ill stop." "Can I get a two chicken nugget happy meals? With a medium coke and Pepsi?" "Yeah, sure thing two chicken nugget happy meals with too medium drinks that'll be 9.20$" I paid the cashier and thanked her. 

"Mike why did you get two happy meals?" "Calvin I can't let you dine alone." He smiled and we sat down and ate and drank. We got and he pulled me to a ramen store. "No-Cal." 25 minutes later. "You have a bottomless stomach." "Mikey, can we see a movie? Please." "Fine but I'm picking the movie." "That's fair Mike. What movie are you gonna pick?" "Probably 2012." "Scary." We left the mall in a hurry I spent like 159$ at the mall that's a first. We made it to the AMC movies.

"Hi, can we get two tickets for 2012?" The woman looked like a senior at are school. "Wait new kid no wait, Calvin what are you doing here?" "Hi, Sarah. Why aren't you at school?" "I said I was sick and took some more shifts at work." "Why aren't you at school you irresponsible juniors?" "Were skipping and wait Cal you know her?" "Yeah, she gave me and my parents a school tour with the principal. I think you were in guidance while I was getting my tour." "Makes sense nice to meet you Sarah I'm Michael." "Oh, Michael, Michael Linx right?" I know your sisters Malika and Kara. She and my sister are friends on the cheerleading team." "Mickey, can we get snacks?" "Yeah." "I have to go to the bathroom where is it?" "Right to your left." "Thank you." She snatched my hand quickly. "Mike we need to talk there is something wrong with Kara it's her boyfriend Johnny." "I didn't know his name." They were walking by my house and he was full out screaming at her with a beer then he..." "What did he do?" "He hit her." 

"Mike are you ok?" I wasn't it took me a second to process the news given to me. "Did he punch her or smack her?" "He backhand slapped her." I considered the fact that's the reason Karas has been kinda avoiding us, she's been just kinda going to her room and not talking.  She even sometimes covers her face. "I'm back guys. Uhh, what's going on?" I whispered everything I just found out from Sarah. "No fucking way Mike. Are you ok?" "I'm furious Cal I just want to watch the fucking movie." "I'll get you guys stuff." I went to the bathroom.

I got a buzz from my phone it was Miko. "Hey, do you know what mom and dad are arguing about btw mom dismissed us? They're kinda freaking me out." I got a sudden phone call from Malika, "Hello?" "Michael please come home I'm so fucking scared!" I raised my eyebrows concerned. "Malika, what the hell is wrong?" "Mom and dad are screaming at each other! Please come home." "I'll be there in 10." I ran into the lobby. "Calvin I need to go home now!" "Mike the movie and what's wrong?" "My family. If you don't wanna drive give me the keys." "Let's go, Mike." Sarah yelled, "The movie starts in two hours!"

Calvin floored it. "Mike what's even wrong?" "It's not your problem." "Mike it's my car. Spill." He joked. I didn't take it lightly, "Calvin it's not your fucking problem." We made it to my house. I leaped out of the car. "I'm coming with you." I said in a deadly tone, "It's not your concern Calvin stay the fuck in the car." What's wrong with me I'm losing it. I barged into the house. I listened to my parents screaming at each other. I wasn't listening I went to Malika's room. She and Miko collapsed into my arms. "Where is Kara?" She's in her room. "She is our older sister she should be here. I went to her room and knocked she wasn't in there. I opened it and decided to snoop I saw the bathroom light on in the hall so I know she is in the house at least. I looked at a picture on her nightstand it was me, Malika, Kara, Linda, Ice, mom, and dad. "Huh, I want one. I'll ask."

I looked in her drawers just sock underwear. "Huh, Cal probably weres these." I chuckled. As my parents screamed on I could feel my heart cracking. I investigated the top of the dresser and noticed a picture of her and Johnny. She looks so happy. Johnny looks like a really good guy. I notice her mural I was speechless it was beautiful it was of Malika without a face holding a blue monarch. Then on other wall were collages of her paintings of so many different things. I went back to the dresser and Lastly, I saw a stick. I picked it up and examined it, "Oh my god it cant be." There was a positive sign. I had the most shocking revalation, "She.. she.. shes she.s.. pregnant with Johnny's baby. And I'm gonna be an uncle. "Oh my god." "KARA!" She dropped her glass of water with a crash "Michael what the hell are you doing?" "Your pregnant." She hugged me, "I know." We sat on her blue bed. "Kara why are you covering your eye?" "Johnny he hit me." "What!" "He's been drunk lately he just lost his father. When he's drunk he's a whole different person." I sighed ill talk to him how about Saturday will that work?" She nodded, "Here is his number. And I love you, Michael. And uhh can I sketch you and Cal or just whatever really?" Hearing Kara express that statement to me made me want to cry, "I love you back. And sure he'd love that so wouldn't I."

 While hugging we heard the heartbreaking statement from my day. "You know what Katheryn I cant put up with this anymore I want a fucking divorce Katheryn I'm sick of this every single damn day with you." I feel like I just felt my sister's heart shatter. As Kara's eyes and mine began watering. I heard my father slam the garage door. My mother began to cry storming up the stairs and heading to their room. We checked on Miko and Malika. "Miko went back to his room. Michael your shoulder? What happened?" Malika spoke while crying. "I got a tattoo." "Oh shit how? Never mind that one of you needs to talk to Miko he's having a literal meltdown." I'll do it.

I went downstairs and gestured for Cal to come in. "Mike, I heard yelling and crying is everything ok?" "Yeah go to Malikas room please." "Where are you going?" "Calvin its time for me to be a good big brother." "Mike is everything ok?" "Its not your problem its our family not yours."
