The Deeper Mines

What seems like forever has passed as the group chases after Honey with her rabbit like speed, they go through a long tunnel with strategically placed lanterns and once they catch up to Honey, the group stops to take in the appearance of the scenery before them. There are stalactites in the rounded ceiling, minerals and gems that have yet to be mined sparkled under the lanterns light. There was also a moat of cave water that shone on the ceiling, it was light blue and pristine and no doubt filled with precious minerals and stones galore. In the center though, there was a lava pit with embers flickering and floating up into the air and around the moat were scattered mine carts on broken and rusted railroads; it truly was a sight to behold. Just on the outside of the circular shaped town there was a sign to the right which just said "The Deeper Mines of Fortweld".

Approaching the circle, the lava pit was much bigger than it looked from the exit of the tunnel, and it gathered Luthien's attention; she was entranced. Stepping ever so closer to it Twig pulled her arm "this was put here by Ignis, I just know it." She said to him as he dragged her away from the lava before she could fall in.

Catching up to the group, They all walk into the blacksmiths shop which was on the Far Northeast side in the 2nd quarter of the circle. Upon further inspection, it seems that the shop has been built into the wall, but they disregard that detail and head inside to find a crooked desk with a small bell.

Unsurprisingly, It was Payne and  Twigs idea to unnecessarily ring the bell over and over leaving poor Luthien and Honey's ears to suffer from the incessant ringing of two idiots. It went on and on until a clank! the bell broke, saving both Honey and Luthien's ears. Down comes the blacksmith from upstairs who is very ticked off that his bell was broken but deciding not to give the travelers hell for it, he greets them all with a "what can I do for you all today?" With a thick accent kind of making it hard to decipher what he is saying

Luthien being taken aback by the craftsmanship of the entire place, she asks "could you tell us about this place as well as history behind it?" Twig rolls his eyes and smiles at Luthien, her sage background was showing.

"Of course, miss." He begins to explain in vivid detail how this place was made; it was almost as if he was alive when it was built. Explaining that the  tunnel came from mining away  at stone until the thin stone wall broke and there revealed what is now "The Deeper Mines of Fortweld". He also explained that lava pit either came from some lucky chance that there was any in the mountain at all or if it was intentionally placed there by a god. However, that discovery, single-handedly decided that here is where they would establish the city.

Once he was finished explaining Payne asked what they had in stock. "Well..." he trailed off, hesitation evident in his voice since he didn't want them left without purchase "we don't have much besides hammers, swords, shields and pickaxes."

Paynes face lights up "can i get a cannon?" He asks, filled with uncontrollable glee while everyone just sweatdropped; typical. Before Payne can get a response he hatches an idea and whispers to the blacksmith. They weren't as quiet as they thought and Twig just so happened to overhear something about "the girls over there" assuming he meant Luthien and Honey, he walks up to Payne and socks him in the jaw. It doesn't affect Payne any, but causes him to turn around threateningly, a murderous aura around him, he was shaking in his boots but Twig drank his respect women juice today.

Payne fights back, a full blown fistfight in the blacksmiths shop ensues as Honey loses her cool "can you idiots please not fight? I have had enough goddamn embarrassment for one day." And stomps her foot on the ground in anger, reminded luthien of her pet, Thumper. Speaking of Luthien, she is just quiet for she is both stunned at Honey losing her cool and Twig standing up for her.
