I woke up with a huge headache. I got ready for the day. I knew from the group chat we all were skipping summer school again. John B and JJ said they were going to pay Miss Lana a visit and ask her a few questions if she's willing to answer them.
I got ready for the day. My hair was half up, half down. I had a green dress on with green converse. I got a message from Maggie telling me she wanted to talk. I walked out the door, but then stopped.
"Where were you yesterday?" Curtis asked.
"Summer school, then went swimming and came here".
He just looked at me, "Why do you all of a sudden care about me, and what I'm doing. It's none of your business".
"It is my business, you're my little sister," he responded.
"I don't get you. One second you hate me, then another I'm your little sis. Leave me alone Curtis".
I pushed past him as he scoffed. I walked around a little in town. I walked the beach by myself before I bumped into someone. HIM.
"Brielle?" he questioned as I gave him a look, "Sorry Peggy told me your name when she was describing everyone".
"Let me guess she called me a dirty Pogue".
"She did but without the dirty Pogue part, but she said it in a different way" he responded as I smiled at him.
"Mind if I walk with you?".
"Nah I don't mind".
"So why are you in summer school?" I asked the brown eyed man in front of me.
"My mom and dad got divorced 2 years ago and my dad remarried, so I came down here to live with him because my mom is going insane".
"Oh".
"It's not a bad thing, I just needed a change" he said as I nodded, "What about you?".
"Why am I in summer school? Or my family life?".
"Both" he responded.
"Well, I'm in summer school because I need the extra credits. And I live with my dad who's drunk and sleeps on the couch. And my mother is nowhere knows".
"What do you mean?".
"My mom was married to some other guy before she met my dad and had 2 daughters with her husband, then she met my dad and cheated on her husband twice with Curtis and I. But she really only keeps in contact with Curtis because she sends him stuff" I responded as I looked down.
"Well, there's more than just my parents being divorced, of why I moved here. But I didn't lie, I just left out minor details. I tried to overdose, and my older sister found out and told our mom who's not mentally stable. She sent me away and I'm here now" he replied as I looked at him in shock.
"Omg, I'm so sorry" I replied as he tilted his head.
"It's just life," he added.
As we were walking down the beach I noticed a wallet on the ground, I bent down and picked it up. Chris looked at me as I opened it.
"This is Michael Turner's wallet he dropped '' I said after looking at his card,"Want to return it with me?".
"You know where he lives?" he questioned.
