Lèa and I were finally walking the streets of sunny Nice after 24 tough hours of traveling. We had started the trip yesterday around lunchtime American time with checking in our luggage and getting our boarding passes at the airport in Chicago. The airport was big, but we both could orient quite well there due to our diligent travels visiting family and friends back in our home countries. After an hour, we sat down at our seats in the airplane and waited for the 9 hour long flight from Chicago to the stopover in London to take off. The airplane was delayed due to much air traffic and 40 minuters later the plane could finally take off towards London. We landed at Heathrow in the British capital around 4 am. Léa and I stayed there for what felt like the longest 4 hours of my life before our flight to Nice took off at 8 am. We arrived in Léa's home town 11 am local time and in the arrival hall her parents and her younger sister stood to welcome us. All the there of them were lovely just as Léa had told me. Her younger sister Camille was an exact copia of Léa. The only difference was that Camille were a little bit shorter then Lèa. After a 20 minute car ride we arrived at Léa's house to leave our suitcases and get changed before we headed into the city center of Nice were we were located right now. We had tried to sleep as much as we could on the flight's but the jet lag took out it's full right. So all we wanted was to find a restaurant to eat on.
