TW: DEATH

Hand in hand, they both ran down the side of the hill; leaving the fire to burn out as their worry for whoever screamed grew stronger.
It was then that they saw it, a large group of boys gathered around the cliff.
"WHATS GOING ON?" Jack pushed his way through to the edge, pulling Tiffany along with him.
Only a second later would he regret that action; for Percival was lying at the bottom of the cliff... dead.
Jack struggled to keep composure, he was just a kid; he shoved Tiffany back, not wanting her to see the monstrosity that lurked below. "Jack, stop let me look..."
Everyone watched as she froze at the sight of innocent Percy, lying lifeless. "Tiffany, get back.." Jack was barely able to breathe out as she began to silently sob. Some littluns slowly began to cry out for their friend, before they realised everyone was erupting in sobs and hoarse screams as they cried.
They cried for the innocence that had been stripped from the boy; He was 6 years old..
Everyone except Rodger cried, he stood to the side, emotionless.
"WHO DID THIS?" Ralph barked suddenly.
"It-" Eric began to speak before being nudged by his brother.
"We don't know anything; we were hunting with Rodger." Sam finished for him.
At that point, everyone was too drained to question them and retired to their huts to mourn their friend.

Jack lay on the floor of his hut, everything ached.
He felt a knock at the door, followed by some weak words.
"let me in."
When the door swung open and revealed Tiffany, she immediately collapsed into his arms, sobbing till her tears ran out. It was only when he knew it was okay to do so, he began to weep for Percival while cradling Tiffany in his arms.
He was a baby still; He'd never know what it would feel like to get to go on a school trip like we had all informed him about the greatness of it.
He didn't ever get to experience it..
He wept because of the closeness he saw between Tiffany and Percy, the way he would run to her when he needed help, the way she would lift him up into her arms like a mother, the way they would play together as if there was no care in the world. But someone did this, Percival did not fall off this cliff- yet he couldn't say this yet as he had to deal with this himself.

AN: sorry for such a short chapter, and it's written terribly!
And I'm very sorry for killing off Percival, I loved him but I had to let him go, this is the beginning of the end.
I'm also sorry for not publishing in ages, I had took a short break!
