She saw something different in his sparkling green eyes
He was known for being a player, just like all the other guys
But for some reason she saw right past it
She felt her whole body falling for him bit by bit
The days past on and she was still intrigued
She felt herself growing more and more fatigued
"Why do we fall in love with someone we can't have?
It only pierces ones heart into two different halves"
She thought the same phrase over and over
As she watched him give away his only clover
Of course, it was so obvious!
He fell for the girl who wasn't self conscious
Boys go for the girls who know who they are
Not the ones hidden in an unopened jar
As the dark and stormy nights past on
This is the only phrase her mind agreed upon:
"Why do we fall in love with someone we can't have?
