He knew how clouded her mind would be in the morning as the sun was just beginning to rise and how raspy her voice turned from telling stories that made her laugh until tears leaked out of the corners of her eyes in pure bliss.
He knew she couldn't sleep some nights because she felt the chill of loneliness deep within her bones and how she forced herself into an emotionless trance to keep away the demons that roamed the hallways in search of their next meal.
He knew she was a sucker at heart but had trouble revealing that side to her in fear of getting hurt again and how she wrote to relieve the stressful words that pounded against her head everyday trying to get free from her very own demons that lurked in the murky black waters of her terrible mind.
