"Mum," Caitlin pleaded. "Please."
"I want you to go to your room. You could have left me a note, Caitlin!" Her mother ordered.
"I didn't think we would take so long!"
"I said I want you to go to your room. Now!"
Furious and upset, Caitlin marched past her mother and upstairs into her room, locking and slamming the door behind her. She fell face first on purpose into her bed, exhausted and feeling like she wanted to cry. She knew she couldn't but it didn't stop the feeling of wanting to.Eventually, Caitlin could hear her father walking inside and her mother yelling about Caitlin coming back late without letting them know. It sounded like dad didn't care. Of course he didn't care. To Caitlin, it seemed like he never cared about what she wanted. She was always being dragged to his things. Interviews, movie sets, auditions and every time she ended up bored and annoyed. She was only thought as his adopted daughter. She hated it. She despised it. So she texted Walker.
Cat🐱: Hey Walker. Thanks for earlier. I found her
Walker🎞: No problem, Caitlin. Will I see you tomorrow?Caitlin thought about this for a moment before replying.
Cat🐱: We'll see. Maybe
Walker🎞: CoolCaitlin turned her phone off and plopped down on the bed, exhausted from the long day. She turned over, falling asleep.
When she awoke, Caitlin slowly dragged herself out of bed and groaned, making her way to the kitchen and her presence known when her mother realized.
"Caitlin!" She yelled. "You're staying here today. Your father has already gone to work."
"What? But it's only seven."
"It's ten."
"Ten?!" Caitlin shrieked. "Why didn't you tell me?!"
"Because you're grounded."
"Please, Mom. I really need to go to the production of the film. I really do!"
"Why, Caitlin? Why must you go?" Her mother rolled her eyes. She wasn't enthused or going to let her daughter go.
"Because it's something I need to do for dad. I have to!"
"And what is it?"
"It's... important."
"Then tell me, Caitlin."
"I... can't."
"Then you can go back to your room."
"Fine, fine!" Caitlin raised her arms in defeat and sat down at a stool in the kitchen. "I... said some things maybe I shouldn't have."
Her mother glared. "Like what?"
"I yelled. In front of everybody. And I need to apologize! I realize now that it's important I tell them. All of them. Let them know I'm sorry. And especially to dad. Yes, I hate going with him to his stupid interviews and auditions but I realize it's important to him. Just as much as how my sisters are important to me."
"And now you realize this?"
"Yes! Please, mom. I can take a bus there! Please, let me go."
Her mother thought about it before pursing her lips, closing her eyes and nodding. "Fine. Alright. You can go."
"Awesome."Only two hours later, Caitlin was ready and waited at the bus stop. Once the bus arrived she got in and waited until it pulled up at her street she needed to get off at. She ran into the building. The door opening quickly caused everyone to stop their conversations and look over. Ignoring them, Caitlin ran into multiple rooms before finding her father and the director in one.
"Dad!" She screamed, catching his attention and hugging him. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry!"
"Caitlin?"
"I'm sorry!"
"Caitlin, what- how did you get here?" He held her by the shoulders and crouched to her height.
"I took the bus." She responded non-chalantly. "Please don't be mad! I just wanted to get a new toy for my sisters because one of the toy's broke and then I lost Inez becuase she ran away and,"
"Caitlin. It's fine. Things happen and I've talked to your mother about it. You know, we taught Inez and James what to do if they ever get lost so there needs to be no
"I know but I'm still sorry!"
"For what?"
"For being stuck-up! I understand the interviews, the auditions, the everything! It's important! It's important to you and I didn't see that but now I do and I want to be here for you to support you. Because I love you."
"That's very sweet Caitlin. Thank you. Did you talk to Walker?"
"Yeah, I talked to Walker. Yesterday. I saw him at the store."
The director and Ryan shared looks before Ryan smirked and let out a chuckle. "So that's why he didn't come back."
"Oh! Woods. You guys weren't supposed to know." Caitlin covered her mouth before shrugging. "Oh well. Sorry. He was helping. Looking for Inez."
"Thanks for telling us the truth. Now, we need to get back to filming but maybe you can go find Walker?"
"Yeah sure. What for?"
"Oh we have a pretty good idea."
"Okay?" Caitlin walked back, concerned to go on a mission: find Walker."Walker! Walker!" She repeatedly would call his name. "Walker!"
"What's up?"
"Ahh! Walker, don't sneak up on me like that."
"Alright." He shrugged. "So you found Inez?"
"Yup. Thanks for your help and I'm still sorry for acting like a jerk when we met. Maybe we can start over?"
"I'd love that. Hi," he outstretched an arm. "I'm Walker."
Caitlin took it, glad. "You can call me Cat."
"Cat? Alright."
An unfamiliar voice yelled form across the room. "Walker! On, now please!"
"Looks like I gotta go, Cat. I'll see you around?"
"Yeah."
Walker left, leaving Caitlin to do her own thing. During this time of waiting, she went onto Instagram expecting nothing new to be there. Wrong. Very wrong.Caitlin had been scrolling as usual until she came to a page she was bound to know. The post was a picture of her but sitting in a corner on her phone. The same corner she sat in on the first day of set. The very first day she had also met Walker and decided to hate him. The very same day she ran away.
Her eyes drew down to the caption. It read, Love this girl. Glad I get to see her everyday. ❤️ Caitlin became very confused and nervous thinking that someone had been spying on her. Her eyes drew to the profile. A profile picture of Walker. Walker's Instagram.
A/N: I was going to come on here to say thanks for 500 views but now there's 100 more! Thanks for 600!
