"Why is everyone staring at me like that?" Ryan asked, still with his hands high in the air.
Caitlin furiously wiped one cheek with the back of her palm again before mumbling and stomping off. "I wanna go home."
Ryan glanced around the room before running after her.In the hallway, he grabbed her arm but she pulled her arm out of his grip, wiping her other cheek.
"Caitlin." Ryan warned with a serious tone.
"Don't touch me." She rejected the eye contact and kept her back to him until he forced her to face him.
"Are you okay?" He gasped. "Is it that time of the month because that's okay if it is."
"What? God, no! I just hate it here!"
"Why?"
"Because! It's boring and the same thing happens every time! At this point, I might as well be an object in the room."
"Caitlin," he put one hand on each of her shoulders. "Just give it a real shot this time, okay? I think you'll actually like some of the actors here."
"No! It's not that it's boring! It's because no one cares! Whenever someone talks to me, it's a question about you. It's like I'm only known as Ryan Reynold's adopted daughter but I want to be more than that! I am more than that. Aren't I?"
"Caitlin," but before he could continue, there was a voice from behind him and Ryan turned around, taking a step to the side so he was standing next to his daughter.
"Of course you're more than that. I don't even know you but I want to, Caitlin Reynolds."
"See Caitlin?" Ryan looked down upon her as she looked up at him. "You're gonna be fine. Walker, would you mind showing her around? I got something to do."
"Sure."
"Awesome." He clapped his hands together. "I'll see you two later. Now I'm responsible for you two so don't die, unfortunately." Ryan grinned before leaving. Walker rolled his eyes as Caitlin shook her head. Her hand meeting with her forehead at her dad's dumb jokes.
"I'm sorry for him." Caitlin apologized.
"I'm gonna have to work with him."
"Poor you."
"Poor me. So," Walker shoved his hands in his pockets like before and rolled on his feet. "Can I show you around?"
Caitlin sighed. "I guess so."So that's what they did. They walked and talked and walked and talked and walked and talked without the talking. Walker would say something and Caitlin would nod, completely uninterested. She wanted to be home. She wanted to be with her siblings. She wanted to be on her phone. She wanted to be with her mom. Not her dad. After all, it was his reason she was here in the first place. She hated it here.
"And that's your father's dressing room." He gestured to the door. Caitlin nodded and pursed her lips, uninterested. "Is something wrong?"
Caitlin looked up from the floor. "What? Oh. No."
Walker frowned. He noticed something was wrong. He wanted to help. The only problem? She didn't need nor want it.
"Walker!" A voice from behind yelled. He turned. "Walker, we're doing a run-through of the script. Please be there."
He nodded. "Okay." And the director ran off. "I'm sorry, I got to go."
Caitlin shrugged. "Okay."
"Okay. Well, um, bye."
"Bye."
Walker ran off without looking back. Surprisingly, Caitlin found herself smiling. She didn't like it and therefor reminded herself that she was only here because she was forced to be. She didn't like to be. She didn't like him. She didn't like her father. She didn't like socializing. She didn't like people. She didn't like crop tops or skirts but instead preferred sweatpants and hoodies. Bored, Caitlin walked until she found a place with no one in it and sat down feeling peaceful. It was but didn't feel long until the door to the small room opened wide. Caitlin opened her eyes and sat up on the floor, letting her arms hold her upper body weight from behind her. She wanted to roll her eyes but avoid making it obvious that she disliked him.
"Hey!" Walker screamed, walking in. "I finished reading the script."
"Cool. Can you close the door?"
"Oh, sorry." He closed it and went to sit by Caitlin on the floor. "So... what are we doing?"
Caitlin layed back down with her hands behind her head and looked up at the ceiling. "Resting."
"Cool." He repeated her actions only for a second before sitting up again. She sighed. "This is boring. Want to go do something?"
"Like what?" She sat up.
He shrugged. "I don't know. We could... prank your dad."
"Ugh." Rolled her eyes. "No. I want nothing to do with him."
"Why do you hate him so much? He's your father and Ryan Reynolds. He's like, the coolest person and best actor on earth." Walker fangirled.
"Well if you like him so much, then why not you be his son?" Caitlin snapped. "Why not just ask him to adopt you? I've heard you can recite the entire dead pool movies. That's a reason for him to adopt you because you're just so cool." Caitlin huffed, standing up. "If you like him so much, then go talk to him. I'm sure he'd love to have you around, you're practically the same person." And with that, Caitlin left, closing the door behind her. She left Walker speechless and feeling guilty as she went to find her father.Once she had found him, he was talking with some of the other famous actors she had seen before yet she didn't acknowledge their existence. She walked up to the group and the little group talking to Ryan dispersed, letting Caitlin be able to talk to her dad face to face.
"Dad," she began with a serious tone. "I want to go home."
"Caitlin," he whined. "Can I talk to you? We need to talk."
She pursed her lips. "Fine." And walked off with her father who led her into a corner of the room.
