Chapter 4: The will to protect!

The next day...

Mero and Gordon were in the training room early.

"You're getting better and its only been a day so far. What's with the boost in energy?" Gordon was just staring as Mero charged at the life-like holograms.

"I have to...huff...get stronger...right? Then I have to be ready for anything, even if this is just training."

Mero threw a hard punch at the hologram and it took a strong blow to the face as small shards of ice can be seen flying from its face.

"Heh, heh. Well you won't be protecting anyone with that strength."

Mero stopped.

"What do you mean?"
"Just what I said. Do you need an example of just how much strength you need to achieve just to defend yourself, let alone attack?"

Tsuna was walking through the door.

"Hi Tsuna. Glad your back." Norina gave a nice smile as she was sitting up in bed.

"Norina I'm glad your awake, and thank you. Did you talk to Mero yet?"
"No, I just woke up in fact."
"I can take you to him if you'd like."

Just then Mero and Gordon walked through the door.

"Glad to see you back Tsuna." Said Gordon with a slight grin.

"Looks like he came to us instead. That saved me the trouble of going to get him." Tsuna spoke carelessly.

"Norina your awake!" Mero ran to Norina and gave her a hug making her feel safe.

"I'm just glad everyone's okay." Norina said as she smiled and then unwrapped her arms from around him.

"I can see it," said Gordon. "I can see the strength in your eyes."

Norina looked a bit confused.

"Do you have any abilities?" Gordon asked Norina with a strong stare that made her spine shiver.

"If by abilities you mean power like Tsuna and Mero, then no." Norina looked at Gordon strongly as if she was holding up something heavy and if she moved the wrong way it'd collapse.

"I see...but this could still work. Tsuna you should train her in close combat." Gordon looked sure of himself.

"What good would close combat do her against an enemy?" Tsuna sat down gently.

"I have weapons, special weapons that I've made every since we left P.L.. I'm pretty sure she could use them if she knew how to fight, and there's a wide arsenal to choose from so pick whatever fits your combat style for ranged and close combat."

Norina looked a Mero to see him a bit beat up.

"Its your decision Norina, I will not force you to do anything against your-"

"I'll do it. If Mero is training then so will I."

Mero smiled and realized that he isn't the only one who wants to protect something.

"Hey Norina," Mero said. "When we get used to training then why don't we train together?"

Norina gave a small smile and nod of her head.

Gordon then turned around to head back to the training room.

"Come on Mero, your still in session."

"R-Right!"

After Gordon and Mero left the room to continue training, Tsuna and Norina went into a separate training room.
