"Why did you pick up that call?" Jim shouted, "i-I-I'm sorry,the children's teacher needed to talk to me"Mercy replied innocently. Written on her face was panic and fear of what her husband might do to her,in a twinkle of an eye,Jim slapped her.
"You'll do nothing without my consent,are we clear?" The monster asked "yes" came a faint reply... Mercy and Jim were married for five years now and for that five years,Jim has been a constant abuser,both physically and emotionally,he lacked respect for Mercy even in presence of friends and families,he could ridicule her in public without minding her state of health,he could beat her up in front of their tender kids n leave her half dead for his children to see. "You need to leave,you need to walk out of that doom you call a marriage,Mercy can't you see,you're in a death zone not a marriage" Juliet said on seeing her friend in the hospital with her eyes swollen n her legs bandaged, "I can't,I can't subject my kids to being raised without a father,what would the society say,what would the church say,what would trend online,that I ran away from what should be for life" Mercy asked as tears dripped down her cheek,"he's only trying to shape me to be a better person" Mercy added, "Shape you,you're making excuses for the devil" Juliet snapped angrily.
"He'll change,trust me he would" Mercy said softly

"Daddy stop beating mummy,daddy stop,daddy,daddy" Ella and Jammy cried out,their dad was at it again,the only time Jim stopped was wen Ella fainted,Mercy in her pitiable state rushed her child to the hospital while calling Juliet, Juliet got to the hospital soonest while assisting the nurses in caring for Mercy's wounds, "he did this again,he's the reason for Ella's constant trauma right,I mean that kid is barely 4 and she has to constantly watch her dad beat up her mom right in front of her,she has to constantly deal with the mind games"Juliet said angrily.
