Luca woke up to his alarm making loud, annoying noises. Today was the day he'll see his best friend again. He was really looking forward to it but he worried about his other friends. He told them he wouldn't always be available for some time right after he left the call with Max and they said they'd be okay but Luca was still worrying. Worrying that his friends will feel bad and he won't be there to help. Worrying that his friends are mad at him. Just worrying in general.
Ignoring his worries, he quickly got out of his bed and showered. He didn't shower for a week now. He just never had time or motivation to. Due to that he also didn't pack his stuff yet, so he needed to do it now. When he thought about it, he didn't do anything these past three days. His days consisted of waking up, laying in bed, talking with his friends (He felt bad for not talking to them a lot for the next month, so he called them any free minute he got), more lying in bed and falling asleep again. He even forgot to eat. He noticed when he smelled the food he made for breakfast. He didn't even notice how hungry he was before. He was a bit surprised by it.
As soon as Luca was finished packing he got his phone to check, if he really downloaded his Spotify playlist. Doing that he noticed some messages. Most of them were his friends wishing him fun with Max. But one of them was different than the other ones. It was from Sam:
„Hey Luca, hope you'll have fun with Max! Are you on your way there yet? If not, could you help me real quick? I've just been having some problems with my body image again and you always say the right things somehow and I kinda need that rn..."
Luca quickly sat down and started typing a message. Just as he was finished typing and sending the message, he got a phone call. It was Max.
„Luca? Are you on your way already? I know your train arrives at 10:30 and I know how you're with time"
He chuckled while saying that.
"Oh god yeah I was perfectly in time but then Sam sent me a message, she needed help and- yeah I'm on my way, I can still make it."
While hanging up the phone, he could hear his friend laughing. He rolled his eyes and started running (It was really difficult with his heavy bags).
Luckily he still made it and got on the train, being really out of breath but he didn't care about it, because he made it and that was good.
When he arrived, Max picked him up with his car, greeting his best friend with a long hug. They really haven't seen each other for a long time and both missed the other.
When they arrived at Max's, the house hasn't changed that much. Obviously some things were different but in general it looked exactly the same as before.
„God, I kinda missed your house, it's always so comfy here"
„So you only missed the house and not me?"
„Of course! Why would I miss you?"
Max acted hurt and got on the ground. Luca started laughing a lot and at some point Max also couldn't hold it anymore.
Luca finished putting all his stuff in the wardrobe in the room Max made ready for him and got back into the living room, where Max was sitting, watching a video Luca didn't know what it was about. Max noticed him and put his phone away.
„God I really missed you a lot."
„I missed you too."
They were just smiling, while looking at each other. It was a calming silence, which Luca hadn't experienced in a long time. Max was the first to break the silence:
„Not to be weird but like...are you eating enough?"
„I- yeah of course- ok no not really. I kinda forgot to eat enough the past days, I don't know, I don't really remember..."
He stayed silent for a bit.
"No need to worry though, I'm fine", he smiled.
Max did worry but he didn't want to annoy Luca or bring him down. He just smiled back and pulled him into a small hug again. „Do you wanna watch a movie?"
