Chapter 11

Thursday 5:32am
Waking up hurt. A look at the clock told Luca how early it was.
Sigh
Waking up that early was never a good thing. But sleeping for another 30 minutes wasn't an option so he stood up and went into the bathroom to take a shower.
Getting out of the shower he deliberately avoided looking in his mirror.
He would only start crying again
Luca was hungry. He thought of skipping breakfast to loose the weight he gained but he heard the story's.
He would never purposely skip a meal to loose weight.
Only if he knew...

Finishing his breakfast Luca had some time left due to waking up so early. He wondered if any of his friends were up yet.
Barely finishing his thought he got a message:
'Hey do you have some time by any chance? I need to vent...'
Of course he had time. He always had.

6:12pm
Luca was tired. He really didn't enjoy working. He never did but this was even worse than what he had to do before. He felt like quitting already. But he had only worked there for two days.
It'll get better eventually... it has to
He barely ate during work.
Maybe that's a good thing
He thought
Maybe you should skip dinner so you lose all that weight you gained at Max's.
These thoughts needed to stop. He knew that. He pushed them away and made dinner.

After he finished his dinner Luca didn't knew what to do so he called Max. They haven't talked since Luca got home.
"Luca?"
Max sounded tired
"Oh my god, did I wake you up? I'm so sorry we can talk later I-"
"No it's fine, I woke up just before you called. Happy to hear from you, I was worried things would be like they were before you visited..."
"Oh sorry for that... I was just a little stressed."
"Why?"
"It's not important, how are you feeling?"
"I'm fine but I'd like to know why you were stressed."
"I have a new job and it really isn't fun..."
Silence
"It's just an offer but you know I got enough. You can always live with me you know..."
"You know I can't do that. Living with you would be awesome but I'd fell like I'm taking advantage of you."
Silence again
"Okay listen to me: keep doing whatever you're doing for three weeks. When you don't like it at all, call me! Call me and come live with me. I don't know what to do with all that money anyway and living together has been our dream since we were kids. Plus I know you're not the work kind of person."
"Bu-"
"No. Promise you'll call in three weeks. Promise me."
"Okay I'll promise..."
"Awesome."
"I got to go now. I need to sleep."
"Call me."
Luca rolled with his eyes. Max has always been too gentle. But he was right. Luca has never liked working and they made plans of living together since forever. Suddenly the thought of living with Max seemed like the best thing happening to him in a really long time.
Keeping that thought in mind he walked into the bathroom to brush his teeth.
