"Do not pray for an easy life, pray for the strength to endure a difficult one"-Bruce lee

" So this is how the game's like, I would be asking the questions and you two would be doing the answering. The one with the highest mark of answering my questions is the winner and the one with the lowest obviously is the loser. This is what happens to both sides, the winner of this quiz gets a free ticket to come watch the opera at the auditorium next week", he said getting us all excited about the idea of winning a free ticket to come watch some opera which I wasn't even a fan of.

"And the loser ? "Owen asked getting professor Haggin's full attention on him.

"Well the loser of this quiz would ...ermm let's just say, I would think of what to do with the loser of this quiz later ",he said not even sure of himself.

"The golden rule of this game is to listen attentively to my questions and answer them as required cos I'm not going to repeat them again", he said with an assuring tone which could be heard even outside the class.Owen and I immediately nodded our heads.

"My first question goes to you Miss Blake ",he said getting his full attention on me now which made me anxious .

"What's the first thing you would ask a child who has ailments and has been brought to you", he asked expecting an answer that very moment.

"I would ask about the symptoms", I answered without a doubt.

"Then?" He asked again

"I would then think of drug to give",

"What if you've none? ",he asked.

"Would then prepare one ",I answered back.

"With what?"' he asked, making me feel nervous.

"With almond leaves and herbs since they're very good for the treatments of ailments", I said boldly.

He gave me a broad grin as he began asking Owen his questions. It was difficult to discern how he asked him those questions but I knew Owen was trying his best to get them right. He eventually was able to get a few ones correct. We finished the quiz later than intended.

"I guess we all know who the winner of this quiz is ", said professor haggins, and the winner of this quiz is .... Katherine Blake, he mentioned it so loud as if I had just bought the world with nothing.

" Give her a big round of applause" he said as the class broke into a rapturous applause . All eyes were on me and the class kept applauding me as I went to take my seat. I knew they were only happy for me cos I just won a free ticket to the opera. I had never been to an opera before and winning a free ticket to go there was the best thing I thought could ever happen to me.

"Well done Katherina", the guy sitting in front of me said as I took my seat.

"Thanks" I said, actually the name's Katherine I said politely.

"Oops", sorry about that he said grinning. I'm Mark ...Mark Henderson, he said with an Irish accent.

"Nice to meet you Mark", I said flashing him one of my best smiles as I took my seat at the back of him.

"Well done Blake", a feminine voice opposite me said.

"Thanks " I replied saying.

We kept reading our textbooks until our lesson ended with the sound of the siren.

"I hope to see you all here same time tomorrow", said professor haggins as we all walked out of the class in a rush.

I immediately headed towards the cafeteria cos I didn't want to disappoint Taylor by showing up late. I made haste and entered the cafeteria only to find it noisy as usual. There were students everywhere, students laughing, teasing, flirting and chatting whilst others were also walking towards their tables with trays of food and drinks.

"Katherine" I thought I heard someone call my name from the midst of students in the cafeteria. I turned my head to the direction where the supposed voice came from and saw five girls seated beside a table. I immediately recognized them cos they were all in my healing class.

"Come on Katherine, why don't you join us for breakfast" one girl who had a ravern hair with a ribbon stuck to it said.

"Alright", I answered saying not even sure of myself,  maybe its because I didn't know whether to join them for breakfast or keep waiting for Taylor. In fact I couldn't wait for her all day if she wasn't appearing . As I was done ordering, Taylor suddenly popped out of nowhere beside me.

"Hey lucky girl", she said startling me.

"Taylor, you startled me I said looking like a scared cat." I nearly dropped my breakfast cos of you, please don't ever do that again", I said dunting her on the shoulder with my left hand.

"Ouch that hurts Kathy she said jokingly, and I'm sorry I arrived late", she said giving me an excuse and I didn't also mean to startle you.

"Don't worry about it Taylor, I thought you weren't coming so I found myself a table", I said stretching my hand forth towards the table.

"That's great ",she said, as we both walked towards the table together.

Moments later Karl walked into the cafeteria arm in arm with Blondie. Taylor gazed at him wonderingly.

"Who's she?", Taylor asked.

"Believe me Taylor I've no idea who she is" I said trying not to hurt her feelings since I knew she was smitten with Karl,

"maybe she's just a friend ",I said trying to make her relax.

We spent time eating our breakfast giggling and talking about what happened in our various classes.

"What do we do next" I asked out of the blue.

"We need to head towards the gallery, and that's only when we're done with our breakfast ", she said feeling euphoric for a moment about the idea of going to the gallery.

Well, what can I say?
