Jenny just came from outside, Christine bought evening tea for them with Jenny's favourite snacks.
"Adam is dating!"
"Is her name Elina?"
Christine nodded her head.
"That's great! that's amazing! that's awesome! the best news of the day! Jenny squeaked and even hopped a bit, out of excitement."
"You are way too much happy about it? Feels like not him, you found the love of your life!"
"Why wouldn't I be? I care for him a lot."
"So do I."
"Well, my way of caring is different than yours. I understand him better than you do!"
"Whatever!",Christine let out a sigh
"You concerned about him?"

"Yes, worried about this and upset. He never dates. It’s out of character for him. And now he is seeing someone out of nowhere and I know nothing about it!"
"Just because someone doesn’t go out a lot, doesn’t mean they never will!", Jenny spoke with an air of confidence.
"Also, You are only his friend! He is not obliged to tell you everything. He can have a private life of his own!" She added further.
"What you saying Jenny? Of course, I've got to know. What if the girl is a wrong one? What if she plays with his heart and break him? He is too soft hearted for things like that."
"Then he needs to learn to be stronger. Love is never easy. You think he should just totally stop seeing people fearing his heart will get broken? How stupid is that!"
"I know, It’s just......feels weird! He is going on dates and I know nothing about it."
"Not more weird than yelling at a friend who brought you a nice gift!"
Christine glared at her sister.
"You don’t know the whole story so don’t comment on it."
"Still, it felt upsetting that you were so rough on him just for buying you a present, sis!"
"You don’t know everything about Adam. Not as much as I. Lately, he has been acting a lot different around me. It feels horrible when your best friend is behaving in other ways! As if he got feelings for me! "
Jenny felt really upset inside. Specially, when she was the one who encouraged Adam about Christine. "Poor guy!" she thought. "May be he likes you! What's wrong with that! One person likes another. It's as easy as that, happens all the time!"
Christine stared at her sister baffled, Not knowing what to reply.
"I guess you don’t have to worry anymore since he is actually seeing someone, good news for you and your friendship, right? And I think, I would not also tell you right way, if I was dating someone!" Jenny suddenly said changing the topic.
"Well, You are not, Are you?"
Jenny looked at her sister. "Did she see me?" She wondered.
"No, not yet, Christine. But I would not disclose that matter to you. And if I never feel comfortable I would not talk about it even before marrying the person!"
"Good" Christine said in low tone.

The conversation ended there. As Jenny left the drawing room her sister alone. Christine sat down and took her cup of tea.
Two sister stayed quiet even at the dinner time. The situation was not anything serious but no one took the first step to break the quietness. They ate quietly.
But it changed in the morning. The usual everyday chit-chat between the sister started smoothly. And stayed smooth until it was time for both of them to leave.
Christine bade Jenny goodbye and almost left with her keys but Jenny stopped her just outside the door.
"Just wanted to clear a few things before we start our day."
Christine looked at her sister and smiled. Listening with attention.
"I am sorry for yesterday. I should not have raised my voice like that"
"I am also sorry! You are right I also have some faults of my own. I am not treating him in the right way for a while. As a friend, he deserves better from me."
"Talk to him!", Jenny spoke in a polite tone.
"I will" Cristine also replied in the similar way.
"Can I add one more thing before closing the door?"
"What is it, sweetheart?" Cristine asked sweetly having no idea of what bomb she's gonna drop.
"I don’t really know about you two but, I think you are jealous that he is seeing someone! So if you have even a tiny bit of feelings for him, go tell him at once. There’s still time before he marries that girl and goes to Africa for honeymoon!"
Before Christine could say a word the door was closed on her face right way.
