"Kaeya? Kaeya please wake up!" Albedo said in a panic. His heart thundered in his chest as he pushed on Kaeya's arms and body, trying to get him to wake up.
"'Bedo...? What's wrong, lovely?" Kaeya said, tired. What time was it?
"Kaeya it's coming. I can feel it. The-the thing... It wants to get out of me. I think it wants to hurt people... Kaeya please." He had started crying sometime ago, but he could care less right now.
"Kaeya it wants to take control of me, please I need your help... please please please..." he whimpered, feeling the captain wrap his arms around him. He sobbed, feeling like the thing inside of him was clawing at his insides, making his heart and breath stutter and speed up.
As he felt Kaeya pull away, he instinctively grabbed onto his arms, wanting him to stay right there and not moving. He was terrified.
"Albedo. I need you to stay focused on me, okay? What do you want me to do, honey? Tell me what you need okay?" Kaeya was also panicking, to a smaller degree than Albedo was, but he could feel the uncomfortable pressure of panic building in his chest.
"It's gonna take control of me, Kaeya. I'm so scared. What if it hurts you? Kaeya please... it hurts so much." Albedo's breathing had become ragged and all he could hear was his blood rushing through his head. His vision blurred slightly and he saw spots, almost like he had been hit over the head.
"Remember what I said? I'll protect you Albedo. Let it take control of you. It wont hurt me, I can fight it." Kaeya pushed the blond's head into his chest. He could almost hear Albedo's heart beating a mile a minute.
"No no... We-we need t-to go. I need to go s-somewhere..." Albedo tried to think.
Cold...
Snow...
Frozen lakes...
Alchemy... Master...!
"We need to go to Dragonspine... Please Kaeya take me there... I'll be good... just, please," he whimpered, taking one of the captains big hands and squeezing it weakly.
"Okay. We'll go. Let's-let's go."

The trek up the ever-winter mountain was a long journey. Albedo seemed too panicked to teleport, so the two had to walk up the snowy mountain.
Kaeya noticed Albedo didn't seem to notice the cold as they walked up the path. He had technically grown up in Dragonspine, so it wasn't much of a surprise. Kaeya on the other hand wasn't too affected by the freezing wind because of his vision, but he did start to feel a chill down his spine.
"Kaeya..." Albedo whispered, his voice much deeper and sounding like there were many other voices tied with his. "I... can't..." he tried to say before his knees went weak and he fell to the ground. Kaeya who was supporting him, crouched down beside him, running a soothing hand through his hair.
"That's alright. You're safe now. No one's here to hurt. You can let go now, lovely." Kaeya said, hoping none of his internal panick slipped through.
"But-but what about you?" Albedo was breathing heavily, but he forced himself to talk.
"I'll be fine, Dear. It's okay." Kaeya kissed Albedo's forehead, feeling the boy collapse into him.
The star on his neck began to turn a dark purple. It bled throughout his body, tiny veins of purple trailing along his arms and face.
Horns that same colour of purple poked out from Albedo's forehead and his eyes turned to an eerie black.
Albedo pushed Kaeya away from him just as inky wings burst from his back. A pained cry fell from Albedo's lips.
Black tears escaped his eyes in thick globs, seeming to swirl around him like he had his own source of gravity. The wind picked up, whirling snow around them.
If this were any other situation, Albedo would have looked otherworldly — majestical even. But the way he was crying, screaming out in pain as black magic ripped him from the inside, all Kaeya could do was bear it and hope to help him.
The horns kept growing on Albedo's head, the tips of them turning black. His hands turned into talons, inky black and long-nailed. A black tail sprouted from his tailbone, long and snake-like with a pointed tip that looked like it could pierce through flesh.
Suddenly, Albedo lifted off the ground, using his newfound wings to support himself in the air. He dipped down a few times — almost as if he was getting used to them — before he dipped back down.
He came close to Kaeya, his wings picking up snow and making it hard to breathe.
Albedo dropped down, feet hitting the ground and eyeing the captain. He huffed and grabbed onto Kaeya, taking him by surprise, and lifting off again.
Kaeya's eyes widened in fear, holding onto Albedo's hands (talons?) for dear life. They flew up and then back down in a clumsy pattern.
As they made it out of the snowy winds of Dragonspine, Kaeya could finally see the direction they were headed in.
Mondstadt.

"Albedo, you can't go there! You'll destroy everything!" Kaeya shouted up at the boy (dragon?) as they continued towards the city.
He didn't know if Albedo had heard him and was simply ignoring him, or if he didn't hear him at all, but they kept flying until they reached Springvale.
"Hey! Don't you dare land here!" Kaeya yelled at Albedo, gripping the talons harder to keep himself from falling.
The boy above him just huffed like an animal, veering away and heading towards Dawn Winery.
Okay. Still not good. Kaeya needed to get Albedo away from people, so he couldn't destroy anything.
Kaeya, think! He thought to himself. What's near Dawn Winery? Could he get Albedo to keep on flying towards Stormterror's lair?
"Fuck..." Kaeya said under his breath. He didn't like thinking this much. That was what Jean was for. Coming up with plans and things like that. Kaeya was good at flirting and fighting. Not thinking.
Dawn Winery can into view shortly after, taking the captain by surprise. How fast had they been going?
That didn't matter. All Kaeya needed to do was make Albedo keep flying until they reached Stormterror's Lair.
"C'mon Kaeya. You can do this."
