Hi guys! Sorry for such a late chapter, I've been getting so much homework from school and I've just lost my motivation to do anything afterwards. Hope you enjoy this chapter! ❤️

"Come in."
Kaeya opened the door, getting hit with yet another wave of déjà vù. The captain stepped into the office, being greeted with Jean. Lisa sat atop the Headmaster's desk, idly chatting before he walked in.
"Captain Kaeya." Lisa said sarcastically, knowing he didn't like her calling him that. "How was it?"
"You're not hurt are you?" Jean stood. "How are you feeling? I can get Barbara to-"
"Jean. Everything went smoothly. I was actually coming here to ask you of something." Kaeya said and Jean ushered him to sit down. He gladly did.
"What is it?" Lisa asked curiously, sitting next to the captain.
"Well, this may be a surprise, but that boy is completely harmless. How long was I down there? I don't know. I'm not hurt, nothing happened." He started. "I want to get him out of those chains and back up here. He's not a threat. When I was leaving, he started crying, he wanted me to stay. He is just like a child, he's been stuck down there for ages and he's so touch starved. He can't talk yet, but we can teach him! We can teach him that hurting people is bad." Kaeya didn't know where this was coming from, but he let it happen. He had to try and convince Jean to give him permission to let him out.
The Headmaster glanced at Lisa and then back at her desk. "I'd have to go and see him for myself. We need to remember what he did... If we can teach him that hurting people is bad, like you said, he poses no threat to Mondstadt. We just need to keep him out of Varka's hands. Also, we need to give him a name. Calling him "the boy" isn't really something I want to keep, you know?" Jean sighed. "I approve of your request on getting him out of the chains. Tomorrow, you can bring him up here. He probably will need a bath and definitely new clothes. I'll ask someone to find some clothes for him."
"I agree. Tomorrow I'll go and ask him what name he'd want. Thank you, Master Jean." Kaeya winked.
"I told you not to call me that. It makes me sound old!" Jean huffed. Lisa just laughed.

Kaeya walked to Good Hunter, looking for something to eat. He was starving and was starting to crave Sticky Honey Roast.
"Oh, Captain Kaeya! So good to see you today! What would you like?" Sara blushed at him.
"Could I have a Sticky Honey Roast and a bottle of Dandelion wine please?" He asked politely. He would normally go to Angel's Share, but he felt that Diluc wouldn't appreciate him there at this hour. He also didn't feel like being around lots of noisy people and drunkards.
"Coming right up!" Sara exclaimed. She was a fast worker, so after about 5 minutes, Kaeya's dinner was served along with a free refill of wine.
As the captain was eating, his mind began to wander. He thought about the boy — what food would he like? Probably everything that was served to him, Kaeya thought.
It was funny. In the short amount of time he'd known the boy, Kaeya noticed he was thinking more and more about him. But it was so hard not to. That boy was supposed to be able to get people up to Celestia — to kill gods! Hell, he destroyed Mondstadt in the blink of an eye. But he was just so sweet and pure and innocent. He acted like a child, and probably was one now that Kaeya thought about it.
In the papers he scanned through in the journal Varka wrote, it said that Rhinedottir created a child, so maybe the boy was in his teenage years?
Kaeya sipped on his wine and took another bite out of his food. He honestly couldn't wait until tomorrow. He wanted Jean to examine him quickly and agree he was harmless.
The captain sighed and swirled the last of the wine in his cup, gulping it down.
Quickly finishing his food, he said good night to Sara and headed back off to his house.
Kaeya opened the door, silence the only thing that could be heard. He was tired and wanted to have a nice shower and finally go to bed.
Turning on the lights, the captain walked to the bathroom, slowly stripping of his clothes and turning the water dial to warm. He remembered leaving his scarf with the boy so he had somewhere to put his head. Kaeya smiled at the thought, remembering how the boy had nuzzled his face into the fluff.
The water warmed soon enough and Kaeya stepped in. The heat of the stream felt so good against his toned chest and back. He tilted his head back to let the water wet his hair, grabbing the shampoo and lathering it on his hands.
He stayed in the shower just a little bit longer, thinking. He didn't really know what he was thinking about, but his thoughts had drifted back to the boy in chains and a blindfold.
What colour eyes would he have? Would they be big and doe-like? Or mysterious and calculative? Would he ever be able to stand or walk again? After sitting in the same position for 10 years, it would be near impossible to start a new life. What would he look like? What would he...
Shaking his head of anymore unnecessary thoughts, Kaeya scolded himself. He was thinking about a traumatized boy that sat under the Knight's headquarters for a decade. He shouldn't be thinking about stupid things like his favorite food or drink.
Kaeya sighed and stepped out of the shower, grabbing a towel and drying the remaining droplets of water on his tan skin.
He changed into his sleepwear and got into bed. Today had been so tiring. Jean was probably going to say yes to his request to bring the boy out, Lisa could convince her even if she didn't agree to it at first.
Turning the light off, Kaeya closed his eyes, slowly drifting into a dreamless sleep.
