Chapter 4

Beep beep beep beep beep

Ugh! I wake up and turn my alarm off. Wait! Today's Friday! Woohoo!

I get dressed and put on my converse. I put on mascara and concealer, before curling my hair. I grab my backpack and run downstairs.

"Whoa whoa, what's the hurry?" My aunt laughs

"What? I always go over to Daniels house on school mornings, his mom brings us to school, remember?" I say

"I know I know, well tomorrow is Saturday so I want to have breakfast with you for a change" she laughs.

"Okay I promise, love you, see you after school" I say before running over to Daniels house. I walk into Daniels house and walk into the kitchen.

"Hey loser" I say sitting down. Daniel, chloe, and I have become really good friends over the last few weeks. It's really funny because we can just run into each other's house and make ourselves at home.

"Sup" Daniel laughs. We still had about 15 minutes before we had to leave for school so his mom made us breakfast. A few minutes later chloe came in and started eating too.

"Hey hey hey" she says sitting down.

"Hiya" I laugh "you are in a good mood"

"Aren't I always happy?" She asks

"Yeah but usually not this happy" I say

"Well that's true, I have some good news" she says

"What?" Daniel and I ask.

"Okay so this boy named Jake asked me out yesterday and I said yes" she squeals

"Oh my gosh Chloe that's great!" I exclaim.

"Wow that's awesome Chloe!" Daniel says.

"Come on kids, your going to be late" Daniels mom says grabbing her keys. We grab our backpacks and walk out the door into her car.

We walk out of math and to our lockers. Our lockers are next to each other.

"Alright I have to go to social studies, you and Daniel have History right?" Chloe says grabbing her books out of her locker.

"Yep, my favorite" Daniel says

"Okay see ya" she says before walking away.

We walk into history and sit down. Halfway through class I feel someone tap on my shoulder. I turn around expecting to see Daniel but instead I see someone else. He hands me a note. I read it, its says,

Hey, I'm luke, I think you really cute and cool, maybe we could hang out sometime?

I grab a pen and write back,

Maybe (:

I fold the paper and hand it back to him. A minute later he taps me on the shoulder and hands me the note.

Playing hard to get eh?

I write back,

Then fold it up again and hand it back to him. The bell rings right when he grabs it. I grab my backpack and walk out of the class. I feel someone tap me on my shoulder. I turn around to see Luke.

"Hi" I smile

"Hey, so wanna give me your number or are you going to play hard to get?" He laughs.

"Alright I'll give you my number" I say. He hands me his phone and I type in my number. I hand him my phone and he puts his number in mine.

"See Ya" he says before walking away. I notice Daniel was watching us from his locker. I walk over to him.

"What?" I ask

"Look, I know that Luke seems nice but I've been here longer than you, he'll date a girl for a month, at the most, then dump her and move on, he's a player" he says

"Why do you care anyway?" I ask

"Your my friend, I don't want you to get hurt" he says

"I'm a big girl Daniel, I can handle my own problems" I say
