Chapter 14

You've been resting for a while. Everyone has been checking up on you. You sigh. Only one person stayed with you, it was Mikey. The other three had to do patrolling, Leo asked Mikey if he wanted to stay with you, and he agreed. You and Mikey grew close because of staying together most of the time. He'd play video games in front of you, and let you try yourself.

You couldn't help but feel better and happier even if you can't do much. As you exit your thoughts, a voice shouts. "Y/N, we're heading out! Mikey made you something, this time Donnie is staying with you!" 

You hear a familiar groan, "Donnie, can't I stay with Y/NN?!" "No, Mikey, Leo says it's best if I stay to check up on him and give him the nutrients he needs. Which is why I told you exactly what to throw together to give him to eat." "Then I can stay with him next time?" "Then you can stay with him next time," Donnie says.

Your door opens as a tall turtle entered your room with a fresh meal and fresh aid kit. "Hello, Y/N." He greets, "Hiya Donnie!" You smile. He flashes you a smile back, you notice his adorable gap. You couldn't help but blush at the sight of his gap. 

"These are nutrients and vitamins you need to feel better. I mixed up your medicine with your food, so you wouldn't have to taste the nastiness of the medicine. The taste is completely hidden." Donnie explains. You nod, understanding everything.

Donnie puts the tray of your meal on your lap. You grabbed the silverware and started to eat it. "This is good," You smile after chewing your food. Donnie chuckled nervously, "I hope Mikey made it good." 

"How are things between you and April?" You ask. "She's mad at all of us for mutating her dad by accident. Also, our other friend, mutated into this monster. I kept him in this container, but he's been drinking mutagen so he put her in danger because I talked about her a lot, I froze him for about 70 years."

You felt bad. You open up your arms, and he fell into the, crying silently. You shushed them, rubbing his shell. "--Y/N--I want her back..." He says, his voice breaking. "I know Donnie, I know." You say, your voice softening.

He put his head on your chest, as he curled up in a  ball. You blush quickly. You get a piece of chicken, placing it inside his mouth. He chewed it softly. "Mikey did a great job!" He says, eyes sparkling. He sat up, showing his red and puffy eyes.

You feel your heartbreak from the sight of his face. You got a piece of everything on your plate. Chicken, grains, and cooked veggies. You were about to put them in your mouth. But then you see a pleading turtle. You chuckle softly, placing the food on your fork into his mouth. 

He chewed it. You got everything once more, eating it yourself. You had a pattern. Feed Donnie, then yourself. He practically helped you eat your meal, and you had no problem with that. In fact, you were fine with it. 

The other turtles returned eventually. You and Donnie slept together. Mikey snorts. Raph watched you. Leo laughed softly at the sight of you two, secretly wanting to join in your cuddling session.
