Chapter Ten

Niall's POV

I stumbled into the pub, heading straight for the bar. I plopped down on a stool and waited impatiently for the bar tender. The loud music filled my ears and the bass boomed heavily through my chest.

"What can I get ya mate?" He asked appearing a minuet after waiting.
"Anything, just something strong," I said.
"Alright," He nodded and poured me a glass full of pink looking liquid that he called The Dirty Red-Headed Slut. Wow, what a name I thought. I took the glass and the liquid slid down my throat giving off a burning sensation. He filled the glass up again and I downed it quickly. This happened three more times and I could feel myself getting lighter. He then slid another glass in front of me with a minty smell to it. He said this one was Jagermeister. I didn't know what it was, but I didn't care. I chugged it quickly the cool alcohol sliding down my throat.

By then I was completely gone but I didn't mind, that was what I wanted. I didn't want to feel anything. I had felt so many emotions the past week and a half to last me the rest of my life. He filled it up once more before heading off to some other person. I downed my final glass before setting the glass on the counter along with a pile of money.

I looked around the room, my head spinning at the quick motion. My eyes landed on a group of people dancing in the corner. I sauntered over to them and joined in. I was completely numb, I had absolutely no control over my body. I felt a cool hand reach up to my shoulder, a blonde haired girl smirking up at me. She looked slightly familiar, like someone I knew. Someone I loved. I shook my head at the thoughts and pressed up against the young, sexy blonde. She danced roughly against my body as she tangled her fingers through my hair. I pressed myself closer to her, rubbing against her petite body. My hands made their way to her hips, she turned around in my arms and her hands flew up to my neck. The girl and I danced quite dirty for a while without a word. It was getting a little awkward, so I decided to speak up.

“What's your name, love?” I kept in motion with her, my hands at her waist and hers around my neck.

She looked at me with a smirk and out of no where smashed her lips onto mine. They tasted of sweet alcohol mixed with cherry lip gloss. It took me a moment to react, but without thinking I slowly gave in and began to move my lips with hers. The music in the pub continued to blare in the background, although I couldn't care less. I was too busy involved in a rough and sloppy kiss with a girl I still didn't know the name of. She nibbled on my bottom lip causing a slight gasp to escape in between us, she took that as permission to slip her warm tongue in my mouth. Her tongue slid across mine causing a slight moan to escape. Eventually, her and I both needed to breath again and she pulled away. I opened my eyes to see her smiling up at me, she stood on her tip toes and pulled my neck towards her. She continued smiling and said,

“Hmmm, so I was right,” she winked at me. I was utterly confused. Not only did I not know what she meant by that but she had taken hold of my wrists as Liam did earlier and was headed towards the entrance of the pub. Still confused, I let her drag me outside before asking,

“Right about what? I'm not sure what you...” She cut me off with another surprise attack kiss. This one wasn't as messy, but more of a game to see how far I'd go with her. She wouldn't stop teasing me! I would trail my tongue over her lips, hoping for entrance but her mouth stayed closed. The girl tugged at the nape of my neck but still refused to give me more than a kiss, unlike what happened inside the pub.

Again, several minutes later, she pulled away as we were both struggling to breath.

“Let me guess, you're here because you needed to get away?” She asked, raising her eyebrow in my direction.

“Uhh, yeah. How'd you know?” I asked, puzzled as to how she figured that out.

“Well for one, you're completely wasted and by the looks of you, you don't seem the type to get wasted for the hell of it. You must have had a reason to escape from reality...and snog a random girl in a club. And by the way, just because you asked, my name is Tiffany,” She stated as if it was the simplest thing in the world.

“Yeah, you're right again. I came here because there's a lot going on in my life and I couldn't handle it much longer. I needed a break, and what you've given me so far is more than a break,” I sent her a warm smile and she looked as if a light bulb went off in her mind.

“Would you like to make this little 'break from life' into a holiday?” She smirked again, this time looking more devious. "Want to go to yours?" She whispered loudly through the traffic of downtown London.

“I'd love to, Tiffany,” I simply nodded my head, still smiling like an idiot. I knew I was drunk and probably shouldn't be bringing a girl home, but I needed to forget. I needed to keep living. I couldn't keep the constant sadness from destroying me.

She grabbed hold of my hand and pulled me through the parking lot, stumbling a bit here and there because of the alcohol. She stopped at the curb where a taxi was waiting for a customer. We hopped inside giggling and I gave the driver my address.
