Late June 1987

Two years had passed, and Davina was now 11 years old.
Over the years, she and Elijah had gotten incredibly close. She was practically raising him. Making sure he was fed, buying him proper clothes and other necessities with her allowance. She was even teaching him Latin and French. Along with etiquette and manners.

It was early July so summer holidays had already begun.

As most of the children at the orphanage sat at the dining table eating breakfast, Sarah came in looking a bit confused. "There is a letter for you DJ." She said, handing the letter to Davina. The envelope was thick and heavy, made of yellowish parchment, and the address was written in emerald green ink. There was no stamp.

Ms. D. Black
The 4th bedroom
102 Brownlow Road
Little Whinging
Surrey

Turning the envelope over, nearly shaking in excitement, Davina saw a purple wax seal bearing a coat of arms. A lion, an eagle, a badger, and a snake surrounding a large letter H. She broke the seal and unfolded the letter inside. The first page read,

HOGWARTS SCHOOL OF WITCHCRAFT AND WIZARDRY
Headmaster: Albus Dumbledore
(Order of Merlin, First Class, Grand sorc.,Chf. Warlock, Supreme Mugwump, International Confed. of Wizards)

Dear Ms Black,
We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment.

Term begins on September 1st. We await your owl by no later than July 31st.

Yours sincerely,

Minerva McGonagall
Deputy Headmistress.

"YES FINALLY!!" Davina suddenly yelled, startling those around her.
"What is it?" The now 16 year old Adrian asked. "It's my acceptance letter to the school my father went to." Oh she was so excited, she immediately ran up to her room to write the response. She sat down at her desk, grabbed a piece of paper and wrote,

Dear Minnie
I would love to attend Pigfarts.
Looking forward to September 1st.
See ya in Gryffindor!

With mischief
Davina Black.

She folded the paper and stuffed it inside an envelope and addressed it to 'Professor McGonogall'. She walked over to her window, opened it and whistled. A barn owl flew over and settled on the window sill. Davina held out the letter, "can you take this to professor McGonogall, pretty bird?" She asked. The owl seemed to preen at being called pretty, it hopped closer and clamped the letter in it's beak before flying off.

Davina got dressed for the day. She was wearing blue jeans with ripped knees, a white T-shirt with a daisy on it, along with white sneakers and her usual black leather jacket. She had her hair in a high ponytail and turquoise painted nails. She grabbed her bag, yelled out that she would be out all day and left the house.

She ran all the way to 4 Privet Drive and when she got there it was almost 9.30 am, and she rang the doorbell nonstop, pressing it over a dozen time, hoping to annoy the Dursleys.
Which was apparently working because she could hear quick footsteps headed for the front door.

She placed her hands in the front pockets of her jeans just as the door opened. Standing there was a tall blonde woman with a long neck and a horse-like face. "Good morning Petunia!" Davina greeted with a cheeky grin on her face. She knew the horrid woman hated both Davina and that she called her by her first name. Which is exactly why she did it.
