~~Ari's POV~~~
"LISTEN UP SOLDIERS! WE'RE LEAVING TO AMERICA NOW! UNLESS YOU DON'T WANT TO SEE YOUR FAMILIES AGAIN, MOVE MOVE MOVE!" I slowly sat up, contrasting to everyone shuffling to go. I shared a look with Lee, who was moving at the same pace as me.
Crazy bitch.
I saw everyone rushing and moving and hid down low, sinking in my poor excuse for a mat. As I looked for the other girls, I realized they all left, except for Lee, who was half-asleep, half-awake.
I rolled to my side, imagining what would happen if I was stuck here for the rest of my life. No family, no decency. I'm not even American! And I would miss everything a normal 22 year-old would want; husband, family, watching them grow up-
Jesus, I was whipped. Lack of water can do that to a girl.
"Flight 409 is now taking off. Flight 409 is now taking off." The announcement didn't scare me; it's not like I would miss out on anything. I just laid down, tossing and turning, waiting for her to give us more commands. Did I miss the orders? No. But it felt odd not hearing them. Morgan seemed pretty tough, not a lady I wanted to mess with-
"Ari. Ari. ARIANA STORS GET UP!" I sat up, only to see Hayley's worried face in mine.
"Personal space, Lee."
"The plane fucking left us. We were Flight 409." I felt my pupils go wide as she began to look around the airport, only the male army in sight.
"Shit," I muttered, jumping up to pack up my stuff. Lee looked at me, terrified.
"If this is 21 Guns...doesn't this mean we're...dead?" I shook my head, my own face paling.
"I doubt that. Come on, let's ask them for help."
"But they were talking about me-"
"At least they comlimented you! All I get is 'she's a bitch, she's a bitch, she's a bitch!'" I snapped, ditching her as I stormed off in irritation. Lee followed, a sympathetic look on her face.
"Ar...you're not a bitch-"
"Whatever." I saw the disappointed look on her face but kept walking, bumping into a tall boy with curls...Jay.
"Watch it Stors. Bitchiness can only be taken so far." I heard the boys laughing from Tom's remark, excluding Jay. He shrugged it off, mouthing a 'sorry'. I turned to Lee and glared, pointing at The Wanted.
"I fucking told you. These dumbasses are jerks. I told you!" I heard more laughter and spun around, tears pricking my eyes.
"Fuck you," I muttered, walking away. "Good luck with this. I'm done." I almost felt the laughing stop, tension thick in the air. From my vision I saw Lee attempting to come, only for Jay to stop her.
"Let her think it out. She's a big girl." I kept walking, towards places I didn't even recognize. I heard footsteps following me, causing me to run. A tear casually fell from my eyes, being the first one I had shed in years.
I think I was drunk or something, 'cause those idiots cannot make me cry. I'm me.
"Ari...wait." I spun around, only to see Nathan staring at me. "What did you mean by I'm done?"
"I'm done means I am done. This is 21 Guns, right? Then if I remember, I can walk far enough to die," I retorted, his eyes piercing my own.
"Don't do that. I may hate you, but you have friends-"
"They fucking ditched."
"Lee-"
"Just 'cause you all fancy her doesn't mean she's perfect." My words shot at him, a look of almost hurt on his childish features.
