insomnia - hwang hyunjin

Hyunjin hang his jacket onto the peg close to his door. He was tired. He thought that high school was hard, but the first weeks of college were even harder. Maybe because it was all new to him.

He dragged his feet as he was walking to his bedroom He opened the door and plopped onto his bed. He was super tired, but would he manage to fall asleep? Probably not.

He sighed as he close his eyes. Despite so tired, he couldn't fall asleep. He opened his eyes and looked at the clock, it was already 2am. He had been laying there for over 2 hours and still didn't catch any sleep.

He decided to sit up straight. He stared to the white wall in front of him. He sighed and got up. If he wasn't able to sleep, he might as well just take a shower now instead of in the morning.

He had gone to school. He had quite some classes. He managed to pay attention despite lacking sleep. He didn't manage to fall asleep last night, so he has been awake since then.

"Let's go eat at that new restaurant, after this class. Our last class is around 4pm, so we have enough time. How's in?" a friend of Hyunjin asked the others. It was only 2pm, there was enough time but Hyunjin didn't want to go, he'd rather try to catch up on some sleep. "I'll pass. I have to go to the library. " Hyunjin answered the question of his friend and got up. He grabbed his bag from the table and walked away from the group.

There he sat, in the corner of the library. This spot was his spot, no one ever came there so it was always very quiet. He would sometimes catch up on some sleep there.

He had his books open onto the table. His arm layed next to it, leaning his head onto it. He closed his eyes and layed more comfortably.

A few minutes later, he heard a chair move. He didn't want to open his eyes to see what's going on. He felt as someone put their books onto their table. As long as they didn't talk, he was fine with it. He began to fell tired. The darkness became even darker.

Y/n sat there across from a sleeping guy. She didn't mind him, she just focused on her homework that needed to be done. Suddenly her hand got grabbed by the guy. She froze, she didn't know what to do. She looked up from her book and looked at his face. It seemed as he was still asleep.

She would let it be for now. Maybe he was having a nightmare. She was told to not wake up who were having a nightmare so she didn't do anything. She would just sit there and continue reading.

Some time past and it was time for her next class. She tried to take her hand out of his hand but he hold onto it tightly. She had no choice but to wake him up.

"Excuse me?" she said as she shook his shoulder a bit. He opened his eyes widely and looked at her. "I'm sorry for waking you up.... but...." she said as she pointed to their hands. He quickly let go of her hand as he apologized. She simply smiled and began to put her stuff into her bag. "How late is it?" Hyunjin whispered, not meant to be heard by the girl. "It's almost 4pm." the girl said and then left him there.

"I must've gone insane. Why did I grab her hand?" he questioned himself as he put his books into his bag. "Oh shoot. I should hurry." he said as he looked on the time on his phone. He had 3 minutes left to go to the other side of the campus. He had to run, luckily he had enough energy to do that.
