insomnia - hwang hyunjin

He was a bit late for his last class but the teacher luckily didn't mind it. He silently walked to the back of the class and sat down. He couldn't really focus on the subject that was being taught.

He couldn't help but think that his little nap wasn't as horrible as usual. He actually didn't feel tired anymore. Normally he would nap, but he would still feel as tired as before. His mind would never get rest.

He sighed. He leaned his chin onto his palm as he looked outside. He saw the girl who he had held hands with. He observed her as she was having a class outside. She didn't seem extraordinary to him.

"That'll be it. I'll see you guys tomorrow." the teacher said, ending the class. Hyunjin turned his head back to the teacher. He watched him walk out of the classroom. 'I guess it's time to make homework now.' he thought and got up.

Awakened wasn't crowded. There were customers, but not that many. Hyunjin always came to this cafe, since it had opened. The owner came in quite late today. "I see you're already here Hyunjin." he said as he quickly walked past his table.

"Oh right I heard you have trouble sleeping. A worker came up with a new tea, it's supposed to help you sleep." he said as he took a few steps back. "I'll let her make one for you so you can try it." Hyunjin simply nodded. He liked the owner.

"Here's one Numb tea." the barista said as she came to bring him the newly created tea. Hyunjin looked at her. "Oh." she let out as she recognized him as Hyunjin did the same. "What are you doing here?" he asked her. "I work here. Do you come here often? I don't remember noticing you." she said. "Yeah I come here almost every day." he replied.

"Oh how rude of me. I'm Moon Y/n." she said and held her hand out for Hyunjin to shake it. "Hwang Hyunjin." he replied and quickly shook her hand. She smiled brightly. "Let me know what you think of it." she said and then went back to serve the other customers.

"Hyunjin-ssi. Wait a second." Y/n said as he got up from the chair. He looked at her and waited, while putting his jacket on. "Here. He told me to give you this so you could drink some before going to bed." she said and handed him a thermos flask with Numb tea in it. "That's not necessarily needed." he said and politely refused. "You know how he is. It's better to just accept it." she said and basically forced it into his hands.

He went outside of the cafe. It had just closed. He looked at the thermos flask in his hand. He laughed, finding it ridiculous that it could help him sleep.

That night before he went to bed, he drank two cups of the Numb tea. His eyes got tired quite quickly but his mind was still up.

He let himself fall onto his bed, looking at the ceiling. He blinked a few times to keep his eyes open but it didn't last long. His eyes closed on its own. He felt himself drift off to somewhere he hadn't been in a long time.
