Darryls POV:

I have never felt as happy as this in my whole life, my long term bully is finally going to stop bullying me! Though I still can't understand why Vincent won't be happy for me, after all, he is my best friend.

School slowly came to an end, I strode towards my locker to retrieve my bag. As I came closer to the locker, I saw someone waiting for me, it was Zak. He was texting so I didn't dare disturb him, but when I approached him, he hastily stuffed his phone into his side pocket of his jeans and greeted me with a grin.

"Ready to go?" He asked me, while putting his arm on my shoulder and rumpled my hair a bit. I gave a little giggle, I'm pretty sure I heard him mutter something, but I couldn't hear what.

*Time skip*

We first went to the glasses shop to get new glasses. While I chose new pairs of glasses, Zak started to text again. I tired to turn a blind eye on this, but I couldn't help but notice he has been texting a lot since we left school, I'm starting to think he didn't actually want to hang out with me. Just as I was about to pay for my new glasses and leave, I felt an hand wrap around my arm and pulled me back into the store. Zak laughed and whispered to me in an alluring voice, I gulped and turned a dark shade of pink. That muffinhead! He snatched the money from my hands and handed the worker his own money.

As we walked out of the store, i felt his hand slide down from my right arm and down to my waist. I was burning up, I think he notice this because he let go of me. I sighed with relief and beamed," So thank you for your payment, but I need to go home now, see you tomorrow!" I started to amble away when Zak spoke," Please stay... I just want to hang out with you." I sighed again and took his arm," Sure Zak, what do you want to do then?"

He looked around and pointed at a coffee shop, next to the park. We entered the coffee shop and sat down. Of course, I wanted a blueberry muffin, so walked over to the counter to get one. At that moment, another hand reached out to grab the muffin as well - our fingertips touch, I...might have felt like a spark. No, I'm over thinking. I glanced up to see Zak, all red like a tomato and gazing at me. I briskly took my hand away and brushed my hair away from my eyes.

After getting our coffee and muffins, I suggested to go to the park that's next to the coffee shop. We spotted a bench under a big birch tree and rested there. Looking at the sunset, the corners of my mouth lifted. Though I started to feel quite cold and shuddered, Zak caught a glimpse of me shivering and took off his hoodie. "Wear this," He uttered. I looked at him, he only had a thin black shirt underneath his hoodie, yet he decided to give me his hoodie even though I'm already wearing one. Touched by him, I reached out and hugged him, my heart pounding as he hugged me back. Our hug broke apart, but remained eye contact. His umber coloured eyes were deep, like the ocean. Beautiful

Wait what? Why do I think his eyes are beautiful?? I swayed my head in dismay. Without notice, he laid his thumb on my chin and lifted it up, his fingers caressing my cheeks. He slowly leaned in, I backed away a bit but I didn't take his hand away, he stroked my hair gently.

As the sun glowed and went down, I leaned my head on Zak's shoulder and took a bite out of my muffin. But one single thought lingered in my mind, is Zak just a new friend of mine?

Zaks POV:

Sigh, it's time for me to go meet Darryl now.

The bell signaled for the school to end, I plodded out of the classroom to wait at Darryl's locker. As I was waiting, I took out my phone to text those idiots. I opened my phone to our group, The Idots. Arran wanted to call us idots instead of idiots because it sounds "cool".
