THE MEETING

Shalini's POV:

As I enter my laboratory and sat in my working place I start going through my phone if any messages are there.

Baseer-You You there Shallu?
Hello? Are you okay?
Shallu? Should I call your mom? I’m
getting worried.

"Oh my God, stupid Shallu, he must be getting worried". And she also has some missed calls from Baseer. I dial him as fast as my fingers will
allow, praying that he hasn’t called my mother yet. He doesn’t pick up, but I text him assuring him that I’m okay and there is no need for him to call my mother.

Baseer called me again, and this time I answered on the second ring.“Shallu ? are you okay?” he
says, his voice groggy.

“Yes. No. I went to a stupid party with a new friend of mine and I was not liking it" I took a deep breath through the line. I know my problem isn’t life or death, but I was frustrated at myself for getting into this overwhelming situation. “A party? With a new friend girl?”He sounds surprised.

“Yeah, with Akshi."I said casually.

" Okay, Aaaloo, I just want to give you a piece of advice, plz don't get angry, you are new there and it's not okay to trust people like this, I guess you are getting me. I mean going to night parties and all" he said while getting concerned.

"OKAY, Baba Ji, "I said while laughing. 
“I will call you back, I have so much work to do. And I cut the call.

I started doing my work and after some time there was a sound of click on the door and few people entered the laboratory.

Auther's POV

Shalini was busy in her work when Kabir and his gang entered the laboratory. Despite being told by Akshi that the new Girl is our scholar, not junior. But Kabir was so much offended by her not even noticing him and giving him attention as others do. 

How can somebody not notice THE KABIR RAO? He was in anger, frustrated and in rage. And wanted to have a little introduction and show her that where she belongs and Not to ever mess with him. And to always greet him with respect whenever she even sees him.

But Little he knew that he is going to play with fire which is Calm and polite when not disturbed and a horrific volcano forms when interrupted.

I'm already not liking her.

They entered the laboratory, they saw her working on her table fully engrossed in her work. She didn't even lift her head to see who has entered the laboratory which made him more pissed.

On the other hand, she knew that some jerks has entered the laboratory because of her past experiences. She has also done these kinds of things during her masters, so she was already ready for the face-off. 

They all Scattered in the laboratory, Joat standing by the chemical bottle rack, others behind him and Kabir on the chair kept opposite to where she was sitting, and in-between there was a medium-sized table.

She knew that what are they trying to do and she pretended that is busy and engrossed in her work. Even when there are more than three people who have entered the laboratory and one of them is sitting in front of her, she didn't even lift her head to see who are they which was making Kabir's ego hurt.

Kabir started checking her stuff to get her attention but failed and finally, he took a book and after shuffling its pages randomly, he put it down on the table with a loud thud, and this worked.

This action of Kabir made Shalini look at him, She adjusted herself on her chair, laying her back on the chair and stared at him with her green cold eyes like a gangsta.

They were looking at each other not even blinking coldly like there is some war going on and the weapon is eyes, green versus deep brown.

She didn't notice his features even a little, except his deep down eyes.

Both were internally surprised that how can somebody intimidate them. They both were a litte intimidated by each other but not ready to show it. They were still staring at each other. None of them ready to back down.

Then Joat spoke with an amusing smile" hey scholar".

"Hey kiddo," she said with a smirk.

Joat's smile fell and asked her in an annoyed tone"what is your name"?

"Why? You gonna link my AADHAR CARD with my Paytm wallet?" She said with full sarcasm while picking up her phone and dialling somebody. 

Still looking in his eyes.

Kabir raised his one eyebrow in a challenging way. Kabir hasn't said anything till now and also not broken the eye contact.

She put her phone on her ear and said "Sir some cockroaches have entered the laboratory. Can you come with some pesticide and all. Otherwise you know they can mess around with the the-ngssss here ." still looking into his deep brown eyes, not backing out.

All of them got stunned by her gutsy behaviour, and this was happening for the first time. 

As soon as they get out of their shocked form she raised herself from the chair, finally breaking the eye contact and started moving towards the door, not looking at anyone.

When she was about to reach the door, a Laboratory assistant came and asked her in a worried tone" where are the cockroach and how many of them are there?

She pointed at them and said, "pleases call somebody to clean the mess, some people should really come with a warning label."

On the other side, KABIR was fuming with rage.
