Chapter 3; Explain It To Me

Jess's POV

Now, I sit here in the big black tour bus. Watching the boys talk and laugh. Too lost in thought to actually listen to what they're saying until I hear my name pop up. I want to pretend I'm not listening by playing on my phone but I can't seem to find it.

"Guys. I feel terrible. I took her phone when I hugged her." Harry admitted quietly but making it just audible. "Delete her contacts beside us. I feel heartless saying this. She can't go back. She can't tell anyone." Louis explained.

They all sighed then Harry gave Niall and intense stare. "Harry, why are you staring at me like you want to kill me?" Niall asked. "Because! You know I like her! You can tell by the way I looked at her and even told you specifically she was mine! But no! You had to hug her!" Harry whispered back almost silently.

"I was just trying to be friendly!" he snapped back. "A little too friendly, if you ask me." Harry growled. "Who said I asked you?" Niall said slightly annoyed. "Stop! You guys are giving me a headache. Now, I'm going to talk to Jess for a minute. Okay?" Louis stated simply.

I acted like I was reading the near-by magazine. "Nice save, sweetheart." Louis said laughing and turning the magazine to face the right way.

I cursed under my breath. They all could probably read me like an open book with all of their unknown powers. "You know, you're like a little sister to me now. I read some of your thoughts and I know a lot about you." Louis said, trying not to creep me out. Too late.

"You can read my current and previous thoughts?" I questioned. He smiled and nodded.

"What else can you guys do? Like your powers." I asked. "It's quite complicated really." he started. "I don't care how complicated. I just want to know. Explain it to me! Please!" I said calmly.

"Well. We all have different and similar ones. We have seductive singing. We have super-human strength. We all can read each other's minds. We all can inflict pain or pleasure. We all have spectacular speed. Our hearing and sight is amazing. We could hear almost anything within our area."

I hummed in understanding. "Go on. Do you each have your own special powers?" I asked curiously.

"Yeah. Actually, I was just getting to that. Liam has healing powers that go from his hands. I can make people see what's not really there. Like an imagination image but you really would believe it's there. Harry can control people's minds and actions. Zayn can see into the future. Niall can go invisible."

I smiled and tapped his arm, signalling for him to continue. "Those myths about garlic, salt, and sunlight, are obviously not true."

"Wow! That's really fascinating! Can you do anything else?" For some strange reason, I really want to get to know about them.

"Yes, we can. But you'll learn about that later. Those were just our basic facts. Oh! One more thing before we properly introduce ourselves. Our eyes can go from their natural color to red, depending on if we're thirsty or not."

"Okay. Thanks for the information. I think I'll need it." I said chuckling. "Your laugh is cute and bubbly," Louis said laughing after. We walked into the room the rest of the boys were in. Before I sat down, I heard Louis whisper to me. "I suggest you sit by Harry. He fancies you."

"I heard that!" Harry said with a hint of a giggle. I laughed and sat on his lap. "Somebody's better than before!" Liam exclaimed happily.

"How about we formally introduce ourselves, now?" Louis asked. "Sounds great." Zayn said. "Alright. Harry Styles at your service, ma'am!" he yelled. "Don't burst my ear drum!" I replied laughing. "But! Nice to formally meet you Harry. I'm Jess Thomas."

"Me next! I'm Louis William Tomlinson, also at your service." Louis said, trying to be too formal. "Hello, Lou! I'm Jess Marie Thomas." I said getting off of Harry's lap to give away a hug.

"My turn! I am Liam Payne. I'm not going to say at your service because that's what weird kids would do!" Liam said laughing looking at Louis and Harry. They stuck their tongues out at him. "Hey, Li! As you would know by now, my name's Jess." I have him a hug, too.

"Hi Jess. I'm Zayn Malik and you must be?" he asked. "Hey there. The name's Jess." I said squeezing his shoulders in my hug. "Hi! I'm Niall!"

"Hi, Niall. I'm Jess." He reached for my arms to pull me in for another Horan Hug.

"We're here!" Paul yelled. "Give us a few minutes!" Louis screamed back. "Alright. We explain everything. He knows about our secret, Jess. What he doesn't know about is you. We'll explain. Be right back or better yet. You come with us." Liam said.

----One Long Expaination Later----

"How could you boys just kidnap her?!" Paul yelled. "She noticed my eyes and figured out the secret!" Niall said. "We had to! Plus, Harry fancies this girl," Louis said backing up Niall, but trying to whisper the last sentence.

"Alright. But nobody can know she's with you guys. We've got to keep her in this area. Best bet is in the house." Paul said calmly. "Yes!" the boys all yelled in unison.
