Chapter 13: Meetings and Greetings

Harry's POV

"Jess, babe, I'm not sure this is the best idea. I mean, we're not official and I feel weird meeting them so early. What if they don't like me?" I say, partially panicking. "This is completely the best idea! I have 14 days, that's it. So it is final, we see my parents. Well, my mum and her boyfriend."

Wow, this early in our relationship and she's already taking dominance on me. I like it. Her fiesty side should be out more often.

"Where's your real dad?" I questioned hesitantly. "He's uhm... dead." she said slowly. I could tell she was lying but I really didn't want to make her explain it if she had to lie. I put that thought in the back of my head and made sure to remember to remind myself of that question later when it'd be a better time to talk about it.

To be honest, I wanted her to have a happy night, I mean, she's seeing her parents after almost 2 weeks of not seeing them. I bet she really misses them. We've talked about this before and she seemed pretty close to them.

"C'mon, babe, let's get in the car." she said waving bracelet-covered arm towards the door. I followed her out the door but not before I yelled a "we're leaving" to the lads.

-------At her parent's house-----

We drove into the driveway that took us at least 3 hours to get to from where we stayed. It was in a small town in Pennsylvania called Johnstown. They lived a red brick house with a one car garage and enough space in the driveway to fit three cars.

Jess fumbled with getting her car keys out of the ignition as I stifled a slight laugh. She's so cute. She gave me a playful glare and went through her key ring to find her house key. It was blue water and an ocean scenery but more cartoon-ish than realistic.

We opened our car doors and slammed them in unison. I stumbled over a green post that was barely sticking out of the ground. There must have been some kind of leash in the yard for her dog or something.

She took a deep sigh and smiled, her dimples showing clearly. She walked up the three steps of the front porch and opened the screen door. I instantly heard her dog barking from inside. She pulled her house key out again and put it into the lock turning it almost all the way around.

She grabbed the push down knob and the handle, and the door screeched open. Inside, I saw a small living room with tan walls and a leather couch. Her parents had a huge tv that must have been at least 55 inches.Under that was an entertainment stand that held their cable box, a black xbox, controllers, a bluray player and a few discs.

"Mom! Bob! Emily! I'm home!" she shouted. We both heard 3 pairs of foot steps rushing down the stairs to greet her... and I guess to meet me. I stood behind her, kicking my shoes off at the rug in the front by the shoes and coat closet.

A short blonde woman with blue eyes, who I expected to be her mother, rushed through the small hallway by the stairs to hug Jess. But her mom wasn't quick enough. Her little sister beat her to the first hug.

"Jess! We missed you so much! Where have you been?" the little girl pouted sticking her bottom lip out as soon as Jess put her down. "I've been staying with a few friends of mine. I'm sorry I didn't call you. I called and told mommy but I guess she didn't tell you."

Her mom came over and squeezed her daughter tightly even though Jess was taller than her. Finally, a guy around my height but a bit taller came around the corner. "Where have you been?!" Jess let go of her mom. "Well it;s nice to see you too!"

"Sorry it's been so long and we were worried- Wait a second. Who's this behind you?" he questioned. "Mom, Bob, Emily, I'd like you guys to meet my boyfriend, Harry." All of their eyes widened as I waved.

"The Harry Styles! The one that's in that band that you and your best friend would not shut up about!" My mom looked at me with a shocked expression. "Yes, mom. Oh, Harry I'd like you to more formally meet my mom Kim, her boyfriend Bob, and my little sister Emily."

"Nice to meet you." I stated. I shook her parents' hands. "Firm grip. You work out?" I was about to so "oh no need I'm immortal' but I caught myself. I nodded. "Sometimes." Emily came up to me and hugged my leg. "My sissy likes you!" Jess smacked her palm against her face while I chuckled quietly. "So, anyways Harry, I guess I'll show you around the house!" Jess said enthusiastically.

Jess grabbed my hand as her little sister followed us as we went to the hallway.
