————————————————————"So why did we have to go this early in the morning?"
"Principal Gakuganji appreciates punctuality," Iori smiled, "but just between you and me, it can be a bit troublesome at times."
You were asked to arrive by 7:00 am to conduct an admission interview, though you could see her doze off a bit. Guess even sorcerers need their breaks.
"The next station is Arashiyama, Arashiyama." The announcer rang, "the next station is Arashiyama. The doors on the right side will open."
Lugging your suitcase off the train, you and Iori walked towards school grounds. It's further west than you thought, being located around the mountains and away from any old cities you've seen in Kyoto.
As you walked through the famed Togetsu-kyo bridge, you noticed that Iori was somewhat uneasy around you. To make things less icy, you decided to ask about Jujutsu High.
"How many faculty members take care of the school?"
"There are a few, but to be honest, not that many at all," she started, "I'm the homeroom teacher for both 1st and 2nd years."
"That seems like a lot of work... Doesn't that mean you'll be my teacher?"
"That's right."
"Then I look forward to working with you, sensei!"
"You're not officially a student yet, Yoshimori. Let's hold off on the honorifics for now, alright?"
"Right, sorry."
A few more minutes passed, and you two have finally reached Horinji Temple, supposedly where Kyoto Jujutsu High is located.

A multitude of traditional buildings were spread across the estate, with paper doors, stone pillars, and roofs befitting Shinto shrines. There were several halls and buildings that branched out from a central hall. Every step felt like you were walking a century backwards.
As you made your way up the platforms, Iori refreshed you on the details. "You'll enter based on an interview with the principal. He's a Jujutsu higher-up, so pick your words carefully, okay?"
Before you could ask what a Jujutsu higher-up was, she mimed you "good luck!" and closed the door.
Oh, man.
"Please excuse me." You bowed as you sat down, but were met with a death glare.
"This aura..." He trailed off, "Geto!?"
...
Who's Geto?
He immediately drew out his guitar and got ready to strum? Fortunately, he froze when he got a good look at you.
"Uh, nice to meet you." You bowed again out of confusion.
"Ah, my apologies," he sat back down, taking a sip of green tea. "You must be the boy Iori-san mentioned. Yoshimori [Y/N]?"
"That's right, sir."
"So, first question..." he pulled out a picture of The Experience's lead guitarist. "Do you know who this is?"
"Yes, sir..? That's Jimi Hendrix."
"Good. I see you know your history. Now that that's out of the way... What brought you here?"
"I'm sure you know of the recent incident at the Kyoto National Museum?"
"Yes. It was unfortunate that a young child was murdered by the curse."
