𝔰𝔬𝔪𝔢𝔴𝔥𝔢𝔯𝔢 𝔦𝔫 𝔱𝔥𝔢 𝔞𝔯𝔠𝔥𝔦𝔭𝔢𝔩𝔞𝔤𝔬A LOUD WHISTLING SOUND WAS HEARD ABOVE THE SEA. The man clutched his dragon's saddle as they climbed up into the clouds. The sun was shining and the sky was blue, not a storm in sight. The rays of sunlight bounced off of his newly made armor. He had traded his brown leather for black. The red symbol of his dragon remained. In the armor were pockets full of surprises. His mask covered his features, so the next time it was raining, his face wouldn't freeze as much.
The roar of the Night Fury echoed through the Archipelago.
Up there, the two became one. They felt free as a bird and light as a feather.
The man stood up from his position and stretched.
"What do you think bud? Do you wanna give this another shot?" he asked. The dragon grumbled in response.
"Oh Toothless, it'll be fine," he said, unhooking himself from the saddle and shifting a gear so that the metallic fin would stay extended. "You ready?"
The dragon growled in response. So the man allowed himself to fall sideways and the whole way down, shouted in joy. Toothless followed him down and smiled as he fell with his best friend. Then, he pulled his knees to his chest and put his wrists in the holes that were on the outside of his boots. A wingsuit popped out and the wind carried him up, allowing him to fly beside his dragon. Then, he quickly turned the handle on his belt, allowing a top fin to appear.
"WHOO-HOO!" he yelled. "THIS IS AMAZING!"
It was. . .until he saw massive sea stacks and rock arcs in front of him.
"No longer amazing. TOOTHLESS!"
The Night Fury shot at the rocks and used its body to hold him as they tumbled onto the land below them.
Toothless ignored every word his best friend was saying as he watched him tuck in the wingsuit. The man looked out into the view and took off his helmet.
Underneath, the man was revealed to be Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III. But not the one from the Edge, no. He had matured over time. There were little stubbles on his chin and his hair was longer, but he still kept the two little braids that Astrid had woven him years ago when they were younger. And, the peg leg was new and improved, allowing him never to have to replace it. . .as often.
Hiccup felt a pebble hit the back of his head and he turned around to see Toothless avoiding his direction.
"Oh, I'm sorry, do you want an apology?" Hiccup teased. "Is that why you're pouting, big baby boo? Well, try this on!"
Hiccup hilariously failed as he tried to tackle his dragon friend. The Night Fury looked at him unamused.
"Oh, are you feeling it yet? Picking up on my heartfelt remorse!"
