I groaned as a blinding light shined on my face, making me feel like I was under interrogation. I felt cold restraints on my arms as I realized I was strapped to a chair. I struggled for a moment in fear but stopped when I realized it was useless. I tried looking around, but the light was too bright. I could barely see past my nose. I tried squinting, but it didn't help.
"Okay, so I'm sure you're mad at us," a random voice started saying behind the light, "but we have a reason for doing this. I came to tell you that we are on your side. We didn't want to have to hurt you, but it's come down to this. RADD found you quicker than we'd expected, so we had to get you from them as soon as we could. I just want to ask you a few questions before we move on, is that okay with you?"
Okay, wow—these guys have terrible methods. I mean, knocking somebody out and blinding them? They're crazy! Personally, I think they could have come up with much better methods. Also, the PS did not use nearly enough caution around RADD. If RADD had known the PS was there, then they could've been caught or destroyed. They took too many risks with that, but honestly, I can't come up with another way.

I couldn't think clearly past the blinding light. The restraints didn't help either. I forgot how to talk and move and think. The light stressed me out. I felt helpless as I gasped against the light that seemed to suffocate me. I wanted to escape and let the nightmare end, but I couldn't move. I didn't just feel helpless; I was helpless.
"Hey, can we turn off the light? I think it's scaring him!" the voice came through the light, and the light switched off before I had processed what he'd said.
I groaned and breathed a sigh of relief. As the spots in my vision started to fade, I could see a man's face appear through his black clothes. His face was friendly and welcoming, but nothing else was. I looked around, desperate for a way to escape the nightmare.
"Hey, calm down," the man said, surprisingly calmly. "We know you think you were just kidnapped and felt like you were interrogated, but we are on your side.
I snickered and laughed maniacally at that. I probably was going a little crazy from it all. The sincerity in the man's voice though was firm. His voice was firm, yet soothing. I wanted to say something, anything that would show I wasn't crazy. But after everything that just happened, I needed a break; I needed a long break.
"Can you at least tell me your name?" the man asked.
I tried to say it, but then I realized I couldn't remember it. I could barely feel anything around me. The spots in my eyes started growing again, but the light wasn't on. I felt myself becoming faint and tired. With a yawn, I passed out.
"He seems fine, he just fainted from the stress. How do you think he'll handle the news?"
"I'm not sure, but he didn't handle this one well. Luckily, this is mostly good news. I'm just afraid he'll take it the wrong way and go nuts on us."
"Well, good luck with him."
"Thanks, I'll need it."
I felt my consciousness slowly building up as I listened to the voices. When he tells me what news? I remembered what he said. I tried waking myself up, but I was too tired. I felt myself yawn again as I noticed the body hovering over me. I forced my eyes open, but only got them halfway up. It was the same face that was in the interrogation room. I tried to say something, but my mouth felt glued shut.
"Don't try talking," the man said as if reading my mind. "You passed out, and you've been given some drugs to calm down. I want you to listen to what I have to say before anything drastic happens. We are an organization called PS, and that stands for Prevention Squad. We've been fighting against RADD for several years, trying to shut them down and stop their funding. Sadly, they've always had an advantage from breaking the law, but we did the best we could. You were being held with—"
