A note from Trina, the finder of this sacred journal.
The new generation has nicknamed the "The Last Plague" to be what caused the end of the world. I was not part of the new generation, but the generation before. My generation and the one before it were all required to read this journal. Personally, I never wanted to forget the history of what happened here. I gladly read this journal and copied it so I could never lose it. In the future, when society has rebuilt itself, I want others to read this.
One day, I believe as strongly as I can, society will be rebuilt; one day, I believe as strongly as I can, there will be hope for survival; one day, I believe as strongly as I can, life will prosper again and we will prove we can survive through anything. Earth itself has been through hell and back, but we survived; humans almost died out as a race, but we survived; life on earth almost was plagued, but we survived. Nothing can stop us when we work together; nothing can stop us when we make sacrifices; nothing can stop us when we have hope at all times. Nothing. Nothing.
